More awful design choices. It’s everywhere throughout iOS 26.
GOOD! That nonsense was annoying as heck. Had to shut it down with Reduce Animations because I got tired of apps flying at my face.Doesn’t feel as smooth or faster than the previous one. Seems to have slowed down the animations again.
You are definitely not alone though!Maybe I am in the minority, but the new camera app selection slider is a PIA. It is harder to use, and has nothing to do with Liquid Glass. It is just the new way Apple thinks this is better, but it is harder to choose something without going the wrong way or completely bypassing what you want. Hopefully this is better in Beta 3.
That’s unfortunate, I really liked the faster animations. iPhones are insanely powerful and the animations helped convey how fast it is.Doesn’t feel as smooth or faster than the previous one. Seems to have slowed down the animations again.
I wonder why. Seems like iOS 26 would be an easy choice.Doesn't appear to include Blood Oxygen support in the Health app.
Weird but -c did seem a bit premature.Build was 23A5318c now is 23A5318f
... what a weird flex. Whom are you showing off for, exactly, with your superior app loading animation speed? That’s unfortunate, I really liked the faster animations. iPhones are insanely powerful and the animations helped convey how fast it is.
…for myself. I can do stuff faster on the phone because I’m less limited by animation. Phone feels faster and more powerful for me, not to brag to others 😂... what a weird flex. Whom are you showing off for, exactly, with your superior app loading animation speed?
Know where performance matters to average users? Rendering time for websites in safari, or editing tasks in Photos. Actual quality of life stuff, which is where the iPhone has always shone.
Only an android user grasping at straws would fixate on something like app loading animation speed for bragging rights.
Yeah just tested with AW10 and it doesn’t work. Maybe Beta 7?Doesn't appear to include Blood Oxygen support in the Health app.
I wonder if it's even worth it to put my device through the wear and tear of installing a new developer beta that didn't even get a new version number. Just a re-release of the previous developer beta.New developer beta as well
Very odd that the new dev release now ends with "f" and before with "c", it suppose that the closer the last letter is from "a" means the closer to a final release, so they went farther this time (again)They released them together, so the new dev build is the same.
Didn’t think about it that way. You may be on to something.I wonder if it's even worth it to put my device through the wear and tear of installing a new developer beta that didn't even get a new version number. Just a re-release of the previous developer beta.
I hope this re-release is not to hide all the code they accidentally leaked yesterday or the day before!
That’s not what the suffix letter is for.Very odd that the new dev release now ends with "f" and before with "c", it suppose that the closer the last letter is from "a" means the closer to a final release, so they went farther this time (again)
I agree! I find it a pretty poor implementation. Your finger blocks 90% of the camera you are trying to select.Maybe I am in the minority, but the new camera app selection slider is a PIA. It is harder to use, and has nothing to do with Liquid Glass. It is just the new way Apple thinks this is better, but it is harder to choose something without going the wrong way or completely bypassing what you want. Hopefully this is better in Beta 3.
What's the visual bug?I discovered a stupid visual bug associated with focus mode the other day that won’t be fixed in 18.x, so I may as well download this beta and see if it’s fixed here instead.
I like the new look a lot, so it is a matter of taste. I always liked the look of the old Aqua/Windows Aero as well. Obviously, increasing transparency often leads to reduced legibility, and I understand the criticism.I kinda agree with this more and more the longer I use it. It’s like someone took Ive’s version of iOS and made it even uglier than it was. It still is pretty much Ive’s design, just…weird.
