I'm just happy that as of a few updates ago, my Apple TV 4K (latest version) is back to turning on and off my TV via HDMI. That used to work, then stopped working, and now it's back (no changes to my setup). I hope it sticks around for a while this time!

My daughter received a HomePod mini for xmas. When I set it up, I did so with her iCloud account - not realizing it would not be available in my Home app (or, likely user error on my part). I recently reset her mini, under my iCloud account, so it would appear in my Home app (again, I'm likely doing it wrong). In doing so, today's SU was as smooth as expected. Which confirms that there is no reason AirPods SUs can't be as sooth and user-managed.

Hoping it helps straighten out HomeKit architecture as iOS 16.4.1 didn't make much of a difference in performance issues for me..

Nope, still getting the "not responding" notification for smart devices in HomeKit.. I'd say Home may not be fixed until iOS17 at this rate which is ridiculous
Every time I update my HomePods or Apple TVs everything goes haywire and it takes several router restarts for things to settle down and respond again. Ever since iOS 16 and the new architecture, I found anything that requires a hub to connect with HomeKit (like Phillips Hue) will have random lights and motion sensors not responding. And more recently random HomePods say not responding in HomeKit but they work just fine with Siri and playing music.

It’s been an incredibly frustrating experience and by far the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with an Apple service. Everything worked fine in iOS 15. My internet is not an issue. My router is not an issue. I only have issues with HomeKit.

its network, Ive never had that issue. Homekit is rock solid if you have a good network
Sorry don't agree with you at all. No problems whatsoever before the "new architecture". When I use the app for the smart devices it works flawlessly, when they go through Home the say "not responding". Even after deleting everything including my home then setting up everything again, it will work for random lengths of time then stop working. Too many people are having issues to blame it it on everyones network...

Desperately hoping to see an update that stops stereo pairs of HomePod minis suddenly becoming independent from each other (remote randomly only controls the volume of one, not both) 🙏🙏

I have a fantastic network. Only network within 200m, great coverage. I have a ton of devices.

With dynamic IPs, HomeKit is pretty trash. Wifi networks just don't like having a ton of dynamic IPs. Makes inter-device communication a mess. And it gets worse quicker the more devices you have.

If you give every device a static IP, HomeKit is pretty solid. I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call it rock solid.

Go through the effort of assigning static IPs to each device, and your "not responding" rate will drop basically to zero.

New to managing a HomePad min with Home app.
I notice my mini's climate sensors are not responding (software is up-to-date).
Is there any way to fix/address?

I hope this finally fixes the remote disconnect/reconnect issue I have been having pretty constantly since getting the new Apple TV 4K. Unfortunately, that device has been the most buggy device from Apple I have ever bought.

That was fixed with tvOS 16.3.3.
Well at least it should’ve done anyway as that release was specifically for that issue, I’ve certainly not had any issues since and I’ve not seen anyone else say otherwise since then.

On what device? For a while I was having issues with this on my Mac, but not my iPhone or iPad. Kinda just resolved itself.
When looking at my HomePod mini via the Home app on my iPhone 14 Pro (both with latest SUs installed), I am seeing that neither of my climate sensors are functioning. Just wondering if there was a fix or if I was experiencing faulty hardware.

Me: "Hey siri, go back 10 seconds."

Siri 25% of the time: *turns all the lights on in the house while my wife is sleeping*

Me: *regrets updating to the new architecture*

It's usually fine but every now and then it asks which room when the room should be obvious and I cross my fingers and hope. So far so good.

The only issue I've really noticed with my HomePod's lately is: I use them as a stereo pair and have relay via eARC enabled, and sometimes the volume won't change on other devices until I reboot the Apple TV and/or HomePod's. Not a huge deal, but would be nice if this fixes it.
Same here. Only issue with paired OG HomePods is that sometimes I have to restart the Apple TV for eArc audio to start working again for PS5.

I had a similar issue when the original update unlocked the sensors. No data was being recognised. After 24 hours though, mine appeared to be working well And have been fine since. Fingers crossed yours resolves itself!

Interesting. I still get those notifications all the time.

Maybe Siri won't be comedically bad any more after this update? Not holding my breath....

There are a myriad of HomePod bugs that need squashing, but most have persisted since release :( Such a depressing product range :(
