Proving yet again that Apple is not committed to a consistent, logical, user focused interface. They just want to bombard you with Apple shows. The days of elegant and useful human interface design are LONG over at Apple.
But where’s this bombarding with Apple Shows you’re claiming, that maybe the case for you but currently I’m seeing shows from 5 different services across my top row.

You’re kidding, right? Wow.

Not only does the Apple TV app assault you with ads and deny you the large top area but it’s buggy. Listen to the audio feedback as you scroll the large image at the top. Broken. And that’s just one of several bugs.

The Apple TV app sucks now. Apple should be ashamed.

Trash update.

No longer saves my speaker outputs. I literally have to select all the HomePod speakers I want to connect to each time I turn the TV on.

Bravo on making things more difficult Apple.

Yeah, AirPlay is now experiencing idiotic bugs too. Selecting single speakers? Good luck. The AirPlay options want to select multiple speakers and often won’t let me unpair them when I never paired them in the first place. AirPlay connections are unreliable now too with lots of stutter and gaps. This in addition to the now gapFUL playback in Apple Music.

I mean, this is really getting pathetic. The whole Apple software platform is falling apart piece by piece and Apple doesn’t seem to care.

Funny you mention this. Since iOS and tvOS 16.4, I have noticed that when I try to AirPlay video from my iPhone to Apple TV, instead of the video playing on the Apple TV, here is what happens:

• My last Podcast starts playing on the Apple TV
• Simultaneously, the video I tried sending to AirPlay starts playing on the iPhone

Meanwhile, the iPhone's AirPlay control panel shows the Podcast playing at the very top, while also showing the name of my video playing under the Apple TV in the list, the exact opposite of where these things were being broadcast.

16.4 seems to have added an egregious number of really obvious bugs.
