At least the Apple Tv has folders to put crap in, try using the Firetv holy crap what a frustrating experience, I am considering buying another Appletv to connect to that TVHa yeah that’s when my crazy sets in as I know they are there 🤦♂️
You mean the MLS Messi Pass? No. 😊Any idea how I can rid of that 'MLS Season Pass' thing in the main menu of the Apple TV app?
They want people to know the apps are going away so they will likely leave them there for a while. People would freak out if they turned on the Apple TV and they were gone. Can we delete the Movies and TV Show apps now? I couldn't in the RC which may be the same build as this one.
Yes, I had to google what it even was! That non-removable MLS Season Pass section pisses me off.
21K365What is the build number on this? I am on RC2 (21K364)
You mean I can’t use my smartdns to avoid geoblocking???This update appears to break DNS profiles (such as AdGuard DNS or NextDNS), and also forces the use of Apple DNS, unless there's a hidden option to disable it that I missed. I was able to block Apple DNS on my router so it now uses the router DNS stipulated through DHCP, though I still can't get an AdGuard DNS profile to work.
But they could still let you manually delete them. They want people to know the apps are going away so they will likely leave them there for a while. People would freak out if they turned on the Apple TV and they were gone.
Exactly! You can't tell if the movie features you are seeing is for a streaming app or for the Store version of that movie either. For instance, I was trying to buy the newly released James Cameron movies, but the Aliens movie was showing as HD and no HDR! The whole point of the remasters of these movies was to watch them in 4K Dolby Vision. So I didn't buy because of that. With the Movies app gone, now with a movie we bought we can no longer view details anymore before hitting play. Which is what you used to be able to do in the Movies app. Movie length, description, cast/crew, languages, audio/video formats, etc. Sure hope they rectify that.
tvOS doesn't let you remove system apps. AFAIK, they can remotely hide them with a server side switch but I'm not sure they will do it. I wouldn't be surprised if they leave them until tvos 18.But they could still let you manually delete them.
Until then I’ll place them in folder of things that used to be good, along with the Trailers app.
Is it really that big a dealOkay, important question:
How do I permanently remove the MLS Season Pass app from the sidebar?
I enjoyed Ted Lasso, but I do not watch soccer. I will never watch soccer. That icon is taking up valuable real estate on that sidebar.
In fact, how do I remove all MLS content entirely?
There must be a way.
Please tell me there is a way.
