either try rebooting or sign out of your Apple Account and back in.

Tried both. Neither helped. I signed out of the store only. I didn’t remove my entire account from the Apple TV or do a reset, but I really don’t want to do either of those.

Sirius app keeps cutting off. Don’t know if it’s a Sirius problem, their app, Apple TV or something else

"
  • Available later this year, tvOS 18 brings 21:9 support for playing movies and shows on projectors, and introduces new screen savers, like Snoopy. Additionally, robot vacuum cleaners will be compatible with the Home app and can participate in automations and scenes."
So most likely an 18.1 update. ?

Installed update on Apple TV 4K and it’s stuck on fast flash for over an hour, appearing to just constantly connect and disconnect to HDMI with no video. Sweet.

Not sure if this will help, but have you tried quitting the Apple TV app? Double-press the home button, and then swiping away Apple TV?

I tried removing my user from the Apple TV and adding it back and that made no difference. I’m trying a full reset and software install now, but I assume that won’t work either.

Everyone saying they "lost their top shelf" are the same types that say their phone or computer is "broken". It's in the settings...after ANY major update, go through each setting to see what's moved or changed before posting that something is missing, broken or "doesn't work anymore".

No settings changed. Simple it was there prior to upgrading and gone after and nothing I’ve tried so far gets it back. I’m currently doing a reset. I’m assuming that won’t work either. I’m guessing if I contact Apple they’ll want me to delete all 50+ items in my Up Next.

I tried resetting the Apple TV and that didn’t fix it.

Also how my Apple TV 4K 2nd gen keeps disconnecting from Ethernet and switching to Wi-Fi and back constantly.

Edit: fixed the Ethernet issue by power cycling. Top shelf is still broke.

Btw, since I believe you started that epic iCloud tabs thread from several years ago, I figured you'd enjoy hearing that iCloud tabs in safari are borked once again -- you have to close and reopen Safari to get them to refresh!

18.0 (22J357)

I found another bug. i want to make my Apple TV the default hub, but the Home app won’t let me as it says I need to update the software. It’s already on tvOS 18. I can only pick a HomePod as the default hub.

Edit: I fixed this by unplugging all my Home Hubs and plugging the Apple TV in first.

Settings>Apps>TV>Top Shelf

Called Apple Support and was told the engineers are looking into it as they‘ve gotten a number of reports today. The person I spoke to said he had at least 5 calls on it today.

Other people should call in as it sounds like there’s not enough reports yet to consider it a mass problem, so if you are having an issue I would call it in.

I upgraded to TVOS 18 on my Apple TV 4K and I lost the Up Next top shelf on the TV app. It just shows the Apple TV logo. I tried toggling to what to watch and back and it’s the same.

Any idea how to get the up next top shelf back?
Have two Apple TV's. One updated very quickly and the top shelf was there. The other updated very, very slowly and is missing the top shelf for apple tv.

That is so completely condescending and ignorant. See my post above regarding updates of my two Apple TVs. Try to gain some humility.

Yeah, this sounds like a wait for tvOS 18.1, although I think I have auto update configured, maybe that's apps only, not sure.

Will check tonight when I get home.
