So long as you're talking about them, they achieved their aim.

Much better than being ignored, Microsoft and Samsung?

I love the Microsoft Surface ad comparing the Air to it. The one item they "forgot" to compare was Sales ;)

Where's my 5.5" iPod guys? THAT'S a game machine that you forgot to make this year :(

Not buying the lame arsed iPad mini - holding out you will announce a bigger iPod screen once phone supply catches up to demand. Perhaps Samsung could give away all those 4 million excess S5's they have sitting around for us to use in the meantime...

You could buy the mini II (reduced price, A7 processor) (a reconditioned 64GB is $350), that's certainly not "lame" if your using it as an IPOD... It crushed the current Ipod's performance :).

I don't think i like French waiters anymore :p all the screaming and shouting.

You can easily see the different between that humongous iPhone 6 Plus and the regular.

I'm not missing anything.

I liked both the ads.

Apple is too good to bash or compare, instead we show off the glory in our veins!

Technically if you include a competitors product in your ad, you are advertising both products.

you must be a gamer. nothing they said in the first ad was supposed to make sense (it was all 'niche' RPG-talk). the second one merely mentioned you can call people from any device now. was it the fake 'reservation for a table' that threw you off..?

Niche + Apple? Just no.

Niche + Apple? Just no.

you purposely being dense? RPG players of any caliber = niche.

ad 1: catered to gamers (using 'niche' words almost no one uses)

ad2: catered to anyone who wants to make calls on multiple devices (using a fake accent to illustrate a simple hypothetical scenario)

you: insistent that ad2 is impossible to understand by 'anyone sane'

"She had Man hands...."

Did anyone notice just how FREAKISHLY HUGE the hands holding the iPHONE 6 PLUS are? Maybe the "man-hands" girl from Seinfeld was involved in the making of this commercial....

I can only speak for myself. This was my reaction. You don't have to agree with me (clearly you don't), but there's no need for ad hominem attacks.

1.) I'm a gamer, and I still feel as if ad 1 was a jumbled mess.

2.) As mentioned earlier, I use Continuity and Handoff and still found ad 2 a jumbled mess. I was entirely unsure who was calling whom and from what and how, and... it didn't work for me.

And that's how that is. For me. You don't have to agree. :)

The ads look and sound like they were made from some teenager's basement. Bad.

Yep. Yep. Yep.

worst, most annoying, pathetic, ...

OH SAMSUNG YOU SLY. Are you hiring people to comment for you again?

Wow, fanboy drunk on the Kool aid again?

Funny how when one describes these new apple ads as the trash they are, fanboys start drawing comparisons to the crappy ads of MS and Sammy.

Interesting that they showed making a call from the Mac through Contacts. It was unclear to me at first how to make a call from the Mac, until I realized you can do it through Contacts, Spotlight, or FaceTime.

I think a standalone Phone app might be better if it incorporated other features such as your voicemail, and possibly a widget in the Notification Center for making calls quickly. I suppose the FaceTime app then becomes a bit redundant. Maybe they should just redo FaceTime to include all of that.

Embarrassingly unfunny and 0 international reach. The fact that they tout features that no busy grown-up is overly interested in doesn't help either, I suppose...

Maybe your just really slow... You must take your Omega 3 supplement...

Wish people would just admit the iphone is a great gaming device and by far the best portable.

Real gamers will never say that because it simply isn't true.
The 3DS has much better games that last longer and are much more fun, and real buttons are the way games are meant to be played. Smartphone games are nothing but a stupid mindless distraction and cannot make up for real games.
I own 460+ games, and not one of them is a smartphone or tablet game, nor will I ever play games on a device that is not conducive to real gaming. I refuse to cheat myself out of a full experience. People that play GTA 3 on their phone sicken me. Buy a real handheld.

All I hear is blah blah blah I spent $10K dollars on games and $10K on gear and that makes me a superior being... This just forces me to concentrate on playing my "unreal" little game on my smart phone even harder, so I'm not distracted by your droning sound....

What about using the controller they brought out for the iPhone?

The gaming ad is cheesy and stupid.

Also, If I want to game I'll grab my 3DS to play actual games...

Yeah, because you can totally find a game like Vain Glory on a 3DS.

A real handheld? I will buy an iPhone, thanks. The 3DS is severely underpowered compared to any other gaming handheld (ex: PS Vita).

The ONLY thing it has going for it is Nintendo's generally excellent first party games. That being said, Pokémon is pretty bad. It lags with 3D on, which is a disappointment because you can see the game was clearly rushed. Games like Zelda ALBW don't have this issue and they are full 3D.

Third party games for the 3DS are absolutely terrible. On the iPhone, this is not the case. No one buys a 3DS for third-party games. And that's why games like Vain Glory, Monument Valley, Clumsy Ninja, GTA:SA (yes it's a port) etc...will always outshine most 3DS games that aren't the classic Mario/Zelda/AC/Pokémon, etc.

First one made me cringe..

GUISE GUISE, GAMERZ ARE SUCH GEEKS AND NERDS AND COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED FROM REALITY.. AREN'T THEY CUUUUTE??
