Apple Releases Updated Version of Shortcuts With New Notes-Related Actions

Very complicated to use and most people I work with and associate with do not use it

What was Apple thinking when they developed this. The public are not programmers

Simple solution: instead of making your own you can download what others make. Reddit has a good shortcuts community. You can easily download, ask for help on making your own or request what you want and other people may make it for you. I've downloaded all sorts of very helpful shortcuts.

It can do really cool things though....But for the average person probably a little too complicated because it is so powerful and useful. Although teens are experts at it.

Seems I need to finally write book about it

Also needs an Apple Watch app that allows to run a shortcut by tapping a complication.

To be fair, there are a number of actions under the File Storage section (e.g., Create Folder, Get File, Save File, etc.).

As for running a shortcut, you can set up a Siri command using a trigger phrase that you choose to activate the shortcut. I'm pretty sure you can use that on your watch.

Apple didn't really develop it. They purchased the popular app Workflow and made it better by integrating it into the operating system. The Workflow app has a huge following.

The new update broke the Home ETA shortcut. If you tell to use the transit transportation mode it errors out with "Specified directions could not be found" I called apple support to report the issue yesterday and was told by support to call the developer to troubleshoot the issue LOL. I was like you are the the developer of this app so i was transferred to a supervisor who created a bug report.

I’ve spend hours over the years on the phone to Apple reporting bugs and I don’t think a single bug was ever fixed.

Lots of lip service and that’s about it.

I would like to silently trigger a shortcut from the watch face.

[doublepost=1553809442][/doublepost]My ETA shortcut has stopped working. It works with transport mode walking and driving but not public transport. Any ideas? It stopped after the update a few days ago.
