So far, and it may be update placebo, I think this update has smoothed a lot of the Apple Watch UI out. The home screen is more fluid and there is no longer any stutter going back and forth from the watch face. I'm actually pleased with the performance so far. Obviously doesn't help non-OS2 apps from being slow to load.

I have been so much happier with my watch since I deleted all third-party apps. Every time I tried to open one, it was a big disappointment b/c it would lag or not open at all about 75% or more of the time.

It is nice to see that Apple is working on these bugs. I'm still trying to get used to Apple's new approach of shipping a buggier/less complete product, then fixing the bugs over time. I think it's all about expectations. Maybe they should have called the Watch beta for the first year...

I agree, was very noticeably smoother.... will keep an eye on it.

Sadly, it won't fix my Watch's broken microphone (I made the mistake of taking a shower with the Watch - I thought if Tim Cook can do it, then so can I).

I've noticed after this update the first time I opened an app it was slow to load but when I launch it a second time it loaded in an instant. Will it stay that way though?

I have honestly no idea what you are talking about, the sentence just doesn't seem to make any sense. What is the problem you seem to be having?
Apparently he/she has a problem moving unwanted app icons into a folder never to be seen again.

I'd take it to a store. I've worn my Watch in the shower nearly everyday for months without issue. I do usually blow the water out of the speaker and crown area when I'm done, though.

Seems that this update fixes the bluetooth conflict I had with my watch unless it was in airplane mode when my Mazda connect starts up and connects to iPhone 6S Plus. Now I do not have to temporarily go to airplane mode til connection is done

I stopped using my Apple Watch months ago.

True to the Apple of late, the problem is entirely software based. Instead of spending engineering and design time giving us the ability to view pictures on a 1" screen, spending the time to make a better health and reminders system would have been a winner.

Too many use cases = no focus = mediocrity. Apple used to know better.

I may follow suit cause that's a damn good idea. I have yet to update since I'm at work. However if this does not fix, I'm deleting them off

I've had pretty good performance on the watch for what I used it for, but did delete apps that were slow or didn't load in a few seconds. After updating, I am finding that every 3rd party app I've tried on the watch is loading in a reasonable time and none of them so far failed to load. Hopefully this will continue. The update also went very smoothly. I think they did do a lot of performance stability clean up in this update.

Been testing this for a bit and 3rd party apps are launching much quicker especially after you launch them once and also no apps have had troubles opening. Much smoother and responsive for sure.

Setting the timer using the crown is now a lot easier...it used to be quite tricky to set precisely
