Was getting message in software that i was on latest version (1.0.1) restarting the watch seemed to remedy it.

Nothing showing in the UK - keep getting the message "you are not connected to the internet" but I am!

Same error for me too. I just restarted the iPhone and now it says WatchOS 1.0.1 is up to date.

Yeah GM to public is a generous 12.4mb

downloading now. haven't noticed any significant issue with the GM.

Result - I got antsy waiting for 2.0 an hour ago, so installed the GM and it immediately came up with the 12mb update so looks like Ive managed to beat the server bottleneck - woot woot!!

It's taking long since it's downloading to the watch. Says it right on the Software Update screen. I assume they don't want the update draining people's watch battery, thus the requirement to be on its charger.

Edit: mine was on 44 minutes not so long ago, now back up to 1 hour.

Only a 12 MB update? Interesting. (I was already on the watchOS 2 GM)

Yeah, similar to iOS 9. When that was released people already on the GM got a small update and it made a big difference. Let's hope it's this same with this update too!!
