Yeah GM to public is a generous 12.4mb :)

downloading now. haven't noticed any significant issue with the GM.
I was already on iOS 9.1 beta when iOS 9 was released. It was sort of a non-event. Prepare to be underwhelmed by what that 12.4mb gets you.

WatchOS 2 is new to me. The milk is gone and there's a Santa-sized bite taken out of the cookie! Now downloading.

Are you running 9.0 or 9.1 on your iPhone? I deleted the beta profile on my watch but still no luck--I'm running 9.1 on my 6+.

I'm running 9.1 Beta on my iPhone 6. I deleted the beta profile on my watch (via my phone), and then did a hard restart (Home and off buttons for 10 seconds) to both my watch and my iPhone. When it reloaded, I checked again for an update, and it was there for me.

Just started download, says time to finish 32 minutes.. not bad considering

About 12 miles from the MS.

I had to reset mine to get 2.0 to show up. Downloading now (not on charger)...
Wait it just paused and now says 3 hours to go, and I have to leave in 30 min..

8 hours to download, then a few mins later it switched to 4 hours to download. Hopefully future updates can go straight to the watch after a cue from the phone to kick them off :p

Started 10 minutes ago; 2 minutes remaining.. not sure why everyone is having slow downloads.

EDIT 1: Download complete, in preparing mode.. (5 minutes)

EDIT 2: Installing

EDIT 3: Installation complete

I am on beta 9.1 and cannot seem to get OS2 update to show up? Are these related? I deleted this beta profile for the Watch but that did not change it. I turned on and off my watch, and that did it!

I'm on 9.1 beta 1 as well and it's downloading fine. I ALSO had the watch profile apparently on the device but deleted it last week. not sure if there is some form of server side update that MAY need to take place?

The weather channel and it also has a complication and it is free... Night Sky is 99 cents and has a complication as well. That's all I know as I "think" they were holding off until this was released. I wanted Dark Sky and Fantastical 2 for sure - plus MLB and BR.

Yeah I love Dark Sky, it became a bit unreliable though with the last few updates. Hoping they have been preparing an update to run native. I don't use the default weather app anymore now I have dark sky.

Didn't take very long at all to download or prepare, but it's been on "Verifying..." for a while, anyone else?

Just a longer-term question as I'm waiting for the dowload to finish.

How long do you think will the first-gen Watch be supported with OS updates?

Assuming that Apple releases a new WatchOS annually from now on, we might at least get to 2018 (WatchOS 5) given that the iPhone 4s still got the iOS9 update.

But maybe battery life will be really poor by then...oh well, that's still 3-4 years away ;)

Ahhhhhh, mine says 20 hours remaining.....................................................................................

I only tried the weather channel for the native app and complication. It will be gone once dark sky is native and has a complication.

Good god there's people on Twitter complaining because the Watch needs to be on its charger in order to update. Seriously you can't wait until you get home to update? Sheesh.
What if you're at home and don't want to have to put it on the charger? There's no real reason for this
