Mine stuck on the Apple Watch (v4) logo as well. been going on for 40ish minutes. I've had 2 iphones and an ipad upgrade to 12.1 in that time

No ECG. I bought two for my elderly parents just for that reason and that fall detection. I hope they have ECG enabled before AW5 comes out, or it would suck.

Not much of an update. The infograph complications that didn’t work still don’t work. Kind of a raw deal to have to toss stuff used to sell me the watch and settle for the legacy stuff that does work.

Yep lots of people reporting watches being bricked in the Apple watch forum. Its terminal I am afraid so you will need to arrange a replacement

Yup - just finished talking to Apple Support. Pick up arranged :(

Updated using iPhone 7 on iOS 12.1 with series 4 watch with Cellular

Finally, all my activity awards have returned. I was missing many ( Mother’s Day- thanksgiving) from 2016 & 2017.

I am getting texts messages that are not showing who they are coming from along with an unread indicator that wouldn't go away without a hard reset.

At least the News app is now working on my watch. I am upset & disappointed with Apple for neglecting to activate the ECG feature in this update. I have sent feedback to apple.

60 days left of the year Timmy...

They really should stop announcing things before they’re ready; it’s getting annoying. At the very least, announce a release date and stick to it.

So you would rather have something that doesn't work right as long as you get it right now...

yeah they pulled it - i just noticed that when i went into my watch app it briefly showed the update page and then immediately cleared and said "watchos 5.0.1 - your watch is up to date"

Did hey fix the issu where you can’t add aliases to new faces? Cause I sure as Samsung shouldn’t need an app update to simply launch an app from a complication when that’s been a core feature of the watch since launch.

My series 4 was bricked. Was installing just as I read Apple pulled it.
As of now, this afternoon I’ve just taken it into the Apple store and they replaced it for me... bit of a drama. Thought these things wouldn’t happen at Apple anymore

Damn, stuck on the Apple logo (about an hour). Is it true I have to get a replacement? Series 4 owner here.
Yep. Go into the store or call if you can’t get to an Apple store

And you apparently would rather they announce something even when it’s months away from release when they could have just kept quiet like they do about everything else?
