My series 4 was bricked. Was installing just as I read Apple pulled it.
As of now, this afternoon I’ve just taken it into the Apple store and they replaced it for me... bit of a drama. Thought these things wouldn’t happen at Apple anymore

Bugs happen? Yes bugs happen. But bricking my 2 week old device that was working great is not just a bug. They should have done better real world testing before releasing it to everyone. They’ll have thousands of bricked watches coming into stores worldwide after this.

Yeah but the bug was likely in the version pushed out to the public either by accident or something... they have to be careful

Apple WAS clear about the ECG/EKG app not being available at watch intro. Not sure I understand people being whiny and upset that what they announced is what they are doing.

Yep lots of people reporting watches being bricked in the Apple watch forum. Its terminal I am afraid so you will need to arrange a replacement

My watch has gone off for repair today. Wonder if anyone else has got any update? Will they repair or replace with refurbished?

Ah, wondered why I had an new update showing and then when I came to update that evening it had gone. Only just had my watch replaced due to a charging issue.

Have just heard back from Apple today. Apparently there is nothing wrong with my watch. Although it stayed on the Apple screen for over 24 hours before the battery running out.....
