There I am mashing the Software Update button before starting to wonder...

...what in the blue blazes model Apple Watch do I have? I've absolutely forgotten.

Pop it off my wrist and look at the back. Ah - Series 2. Could've sworn it was a Series 3!

Oh well.

Same issue. From some random reddit threads I saw, seems like the only way to get it to work is erase, restore as new watch, update, erase again, and restore from backup, which is RIDICULOUS!

I unpaired...then did a re-pair. Now its downloading the update. Thats really annoying. I need the 6 NOW

Is this the only way? I have no media on my Watch and deleted every app off of it. Series 3, btw.

Mine took a little over two hours to update (iPhone X to Apple Watch Series 4), from start of download, to being ready.

Not enough free space error on my AW3 also. Says the watchOS 7 is 948MB, but then says I need 3.1GB of free space?

0 Songs
16 Photos
14 Applications

Trying a restart.

WatchOS is not showing for my series 5 either checking from the watch or phone. iPhone XS is update to 14...just a timing thing?

Sounds like you may to wipe and install. I had to do that a few times during the beta with my series 3.
I did a restart and I think that may have worked. It's still downloading (I didn't read the post to disable BT until I had already started the update) to the watch, but it's been running much longer than it did prior when I got the free space error.

UPDATE: it counted down all the way and the iPhone showed an error that it could not verify the update because it wasn't connected to the internet. BS. It's on WIFI and CELLULAR. This is a PITA...

That error happened to me once during the betas. You are right. It is a pain in the butt with the series 3. I miss my series 5 already. Lol The 6 needs to get here asap.

My series 4 AW says it is up to date on 6.2.8. It is paired to an iPhone Xs Max running iOS 14.

Any help is appreciated...thanks!

I can't believe you can't create your own watch faces. All the complications are there, it seems like it would be easy as hell to add feature in the iOS Watch App to allow you create your own face.

For all of Apple's great idea and innovation, it seems like there are always glaring features that are requested for YEARS that they refuse to implement. Like small photos on phone calls - depending on how you sync contacts, you get full-screen faces or small thumbnails. Seems like it should have been an easy option in the settings. In iOS 14, they are now the smaller version by default, but it should have always been an option.

Oh well.

Finally got it up and running on my Apple Watch Series 3. Didn’t realize so many of the new features aren’t even supported. Oh well, looking forward to my Series 6 arriving on Friday.

Installing on my series 3. What a PIA to install. This Likely just killed any chance of me ever buying a Apple Watch again. Without any apps I may as well go back to my Fossil.

Way to go Apple!

I thought it said just series 0 didn’t make it
