Curiously, iOS 15 got updated even if i was already on the RC (same for iPadOS).
However, nothing to be seen for WatchOS 8. I guess they released an update to the RC for iOS and iPadOS but kept it the same for WatchOS

I cannot get the new Portraits watch face to work at all. Like, it shows me my sync'd photos is empty even though it's not (I can bring up the sync'd photos in the photo app on my Watch).

I feel like i'm doing *something* wrong in terms of syncing/choosing my photos to be featured in Portrait watch face but darned if I can figure it out...

EDIT: OK, I guess it's because you actually have to take photos in the Portrait mode on the phone and those are the only ones that will work with the watch face. Sigh.

Does the FindMy works like on the 11+ with the precise finding or it's just general direction based on last location (like older iPhones)? I ask that because the Series 6 has the U1 processor, so at least it should give precise location even if it cannot pinpoint exact location with the on screen arrow.

I just get this error over and over

1.2GB download for my Series 5 watch. I was getting connection errors via my phone watch app in iOS15 so I went to settings in the phone and to my surprise it was already downloading this large file.

Thats a screenshot from the watch app on my phone though....
Maybe the servers are getting beat down. I've got it going now, but it is slow as f! The download was fast but the preparing, verifying and installing is slow. Maybe the servers are getting beat down.

you realize thats not in ios 15 right?
Yes I realize that it is not in iOS 15 at this time. Apple did not cancel, they temporarily delayed it. Once you update to iOS 15 you will eventually be forced to update to 15.1 to 15.8 for security updates. During one of those update you will be forced to accept what ever changes or non changes apple decides. Until Apple clarifies their stance on this, iOs15 is a no go for me.

I've updated my iPhone to iOS 15 but now waiting for WatchOS 8 to show up. My fingers are crossed that it fixes a really terrible issue I encountered during the betas. Does anyone else have this issue?:

- When playing a podcast or music (using both native Apple players), the Now Playing interface shows up on my watch. After less than a minute, when I raise my wrist again, the watch is back on the clock screen. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING??!!

I have loved the ease of having the audio controls on my wrist anytime I'm playing audio on my phone. Now, I have to manually touch my watch to get it back to the audio controls. The Now Playing icon that appears at the top of the clock screen is so tiny, I had to resort to putting Now Playing as a complication in the middle of my watch face so I can more easily get it back. FYI - I have checked all settings (Back to App, duration, etc.) and nothing seems to work. I'm running the iPhone 12 Pro Max and a Watch Series 4.

Edit: Nevermind its working now. Had to accept some Terms and Conditions
I can't see the Terms and Conditions on my phone. Keep getting the circle with message checking for updates. Even though it's installed on the watch already.

In settings - general - wake screen do you have auto launch Audio apps turned on ?

So, there isn't a "Wake Screen" option under Settings > General anymore (w/ WatchOS 8) but when doing a search of "wake screen" I did find the setting. The Auto Launch Audio Apps toggle was turned on. Is that what you were referring to? Thanks.

After updating watch OS battery was at 99%. After few minutes with watch still on charger it has gone down to 84%. This is on watch 4. Anyone else seeing this?
