Does anyone else find the Apple Watch manual update process really irritating?

First, it seems to take forever to download and install to the Apple Watch from my iPhone.

Second, why do I need the Apple Watch to be on the charger AND have 50% battery for it to install?

Third, why do I need to enter my password twice on the Apple Watch to authorize the update? I shouldn’t have to do it at all.
Yes, it is irritating but I guess Apple wants to try to minimize bricking a watch. But I have never had to enter my password ever when updating my watches. Maybe you have something turned on in settings requiring you to entger your password.

The first password is unlocking the watch as it’s off my wrist. The second password is a panel that comes up that says “proceed” or something like that, which authorizes the update.

  1. Yes, it does take a (relatively) long time.
  2. That's kind of annoying, especially if you have over 50% charge. However, if you place it on the charger just until the installation begins, you can remove it from the charger and the update will continue.
  3. I never have to enter my password. (I do for iOS and iPadOS updates, but l don't think I normally need to for Watch updates.)

Apple only releasing a watch update seems weird. It's usually connected to an IOS update. My series 8 is 111 MB and it seems to be moving pretty quickly.

Now it's just sitting there and the bar isn't moving. Not sure why it just stopped. It's on the charger.

The update was specifically for Movement Disorder API.

130MB on my series 4.

Green tint issue is………not fixed
If this is a real glitch (I do not see this at all) it is cosmetic and would be waaayyyy down on the priority list. But I know some people just have to have something to harp about.

Time to upgrade to S9. :)
Thought to do so, but have to sell my kidney already to upgrade from xs max to 15 pro max. Mental prices in europe currently, basically a tiny mac in its price range.

Maybe a heavy discount on the AW ultra can convince me.
