So much cut from iOS 13.0, wonder what was going on internally?

Just trying to cover their asses for not being right that it was going to be released yesterday.

So dark mode works only with the wide camera. Deep fusion works with wide and telephoto. Nothing works with ultra wide which hardly gets used anyways.

Ok got it.

2019 ultra-wide is dead. No focus system, no stabilisation, no deep fusion, low resolution.

Future ultra-wide lenses will make this first generation look photos from the original iPhone.

They are going to delay that feature until they see what google releases camera wise on the 14th. Makes sense don’t play ur ace camera card until you see if it needs to be tweaked vs google. Smart business move
I love the competition between Apple and Google. Either way we win. We get the best result due to the competition.

sounds like you should go to android where it’s a mess to start with, they don’t updates and good luck having your issues fixed. But then at least your complaints would be valid

My complaints aren't valid? And 'you should go to android'? So should I 'move to Iraq' or something?

The comments are valid. It seems like every major release has become a mess of hasty patches, and 'emergency fixes'.

I remember Windows NT. That was a time where patches seemed to unpatch priot issues, and the system was so sketchy, I worked for a company that had to reboot every machine every day because if they were left to run for too many days at a time, the systems would blue screen and occasionally not recover from it. Thank Ford this isn't quite that bad, but...

Comments like 'you should go to android' are childish and unproductive. We are all in this mess, together. We need to fight the public beta system that seems to be happening. *sigh*

The Verge updated the article:

Update, October 2nd, 7:49am: This article originally said the next iOS 13 developer beta would be released on October 1st. It has now been updated to reflect Apple’s now-uncertain ship date for that beta.
