I don’t agree with you, unfortunately.

Even the introduction of the new iPhones delays due to the coronavirus pandemic which caused the mass production of the new iPhones to be started late,

it has nothing to do with coronavirus. If it did, everyone else would be late in launching their new phones too. Samsung, Huweai, Oppo...everyone else got their phones out right on time. It’s Apples poor management l

OP asked if it’s possible they’re introduced on the 15th. No one has said anything about being released on the 15th.

they won’t be introduced on the 15th either. What are they going to do? Show videos of people in China making them for half an hour?

Probably not but your post on production is completely irrelevant to the question.

Some reports say production started a few days ago. Others say they havent even started yet. Since when has Apple ever introduced a product that hadn't gone into production? I'll wait...

Some reports say production started a few days ago.

they just started production a few days ago.

So...which one is it? (And I don’t care about the other questions you keep dodging from members in the thread), but you contradict yourself in the above posts. If they just ‘started production a few days ago‘, post the link/source indicating that.

Except they said a few weeks not months, Apple themselves said “a few weeks later”

They’ve probably just hidden them for now. I see the iPhone 11 promotional videos are still there e.g. Selena Gomez Shot on iPhone 11 Pro

I’m really hoping they announce it on Tuesday At least. So, tired of these rumors and people going back n forth this year.

I feel like this will be the trend going forward. I don’t think Apple has been very happy with the leaks, so they’re going to continue dropping false leaks to sniff out the leakers. Crazy amount of back and forth, it’s been an experience lol

If the Youtube video theory rings true, then the XR will continue to be sold after the iPhone 12 release while the 11s will be canned. This is consistent with some rumours I've seen so might be the case.

11 has several advantages over XR - better cameras with night mode, longer battery life and U1 chip, for example. It would make no sense to drop it while keeping the inferior model going. Besides, the price of 11 will be dropped anyway once 12 come out. iPhone 11 currently sells for $699, iPhone XR - $599. So 11 could well take the place of XR?

Not to mention the iPhone 11 was the best selling phone in the world for the first half of 2020. It outsold iPhone XR by a healthy 40% compared to the same period in 2019.

"A few weeks late" would mean they are all coming out in a week or two, and we all know that isnt happening. Its going to be months, not weeks.

This has been my feeling for a while, especially with the “iPhone OS” rumour for example, LOL! I honestly also think they are pushing out false rumours to keep things confusing, it also throws off the so-called “reliable leakers” some of them have been truly humbled

Specifically for "iPhoneOS", people have said it's has pretty much always been named like this in iOS code. Even in previous versions.

It has.
iOS before iOS was literally iPhoneOS. The iOS naming was introduced after iPhoneOS 3 iirc (iOS 4). So in the code iOS has been called iPhoneOS from the start :)

Even if it had been called iPhone OS internally before the rumours, why did it suddenly start being proposed as the new version name around WWDC? Why didn’t anyone notice it in iOS 13 or below code before then?

People knew it was called iPhone OS internally, nobody cared because it makes sense considering iOS was literally iPhoneOS before iOS.
The first person who suddenly started saying iOS would be getting renamed to iphoneOS was Jon Prosser because clearly he didn't knew about this and everyone thought he had some weird insider info or something I guess.

Yes, this is what I’m assuming too. Jon is way to overrated.
