Apple has renewed new Apple TV+ show "Ted Lasso" for a second season less than a week after it premiered. Three episodes of the first season are available right now, with the fourth episode set to come out on Friday.

"Ted Lasso" is a comedy series that stars actor and Saturday Night Live alumnus Jason Sudeikis. Sudeikis originally played the Ted Lasso character for the 2013 NBC Sports English Premier League coverage.

The Apple TV+ series revives the original Ted Lasso character, with Sudeikis playing a small-time college football coach from Kansas who's hired to coach a professional soccer team in England even though he has no experience coaching soccer.

Like the first season, the second season will include 10 episodes, and it is set to premiere next year. Apple has renewed many of the shows that have already been released for a second season, including "See," "The Morning Show," "Dickinson," and "For All Mankind."

Though it’s not a surprise because Apple isn’t in a place that it can cancel anything because it doesn’t have much, I have yet to watch something on ATV+ that I didn’t love. Morning Show, Trying, Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, Home, Little America, all stellar shows.

I actually liked the the first couple of episodes a lot.
So far most of the APPLE TV+ shows I've seen have been very good. 'See' was very interesting. 'Defending Jacob' was very good too. 'Morning Show' was the most popular and was a good watch too.
Have to start watching some of the other ones too. Lots of time now days with the Pandemic....

God awful show, the guy isn’t remotely funny, imho of course.
I thought so too, largely based on my impression of Jason Sudeikis and cringe fest trailer. But the show is really good. Of course, all shows are subjective and you may not like it still. But I was really surprised by just how much I enjoyed it and most importantly, its feel-good vibe made me very happy.

Its pretty good. But most of Apples new shows fail to wow me.

Most of the current shows on ATV don’t interest me, but that’s mostly because of what I like or dislike and not because the shows themselves are bad or poorly written. I have never been interested in cop shows or political dramas or tv shows about tv. Alternative history like “For All Mankind” also don’t interest me, especially since the actual story of the moon race including the parts the US or Russia tried to hide isn’t well known. I’d have been a lot more interested in that story than in something that didn’t happen.

I got 1 year of ATV by buying an Apple product last December. I may renew in December because of Foundation, which isn’t out yet but I want to support programs I am interested in.

We are coming up on a year in a month or two for many Apple TV + subscribers. Which means we will have to start paying for this. I haven't really found the shows I watched to be worth it.

Actually looking at my subscription, it was cancelled as of August 10. How is that possible considering I didn't subscribe to it until Nov 1 with a supposed year free. Apparently I fat fingered and cancelled it, contacted Apple Support and was told too bad. No loss, I wasn't planning on renewing anyway. So be warned, unlike every other subscription service in the world and at Apple, if you are on the free year, when you cancel it is effective immediately.

What's this like for someone that doesn't like sport at all? I saw the trailer and noticed that a lot of it was filmed around where I live which could be fun but I have less than zero interest in any kind of sport and neither does the wife.

There are 1 or 2 shows in the pipeline I may be interested in so I will probably go month to month until they are released. If I don't like them I’ll drop it.

Not a soccer fan at all and I think it’s great. It’s not really about the sport, but more about finding ways to connect with and motivate the players to be the best version of themselves. Winning over hearts and minds versus X’s and O’s of the sport.

That may seem out of this world but if you follow the EPL (or for that matter several other leagues) you would be surprised at the number of top managers with no experience and almost no qualifications whatsoever.
