You'll enjoy it, go ahead and give it a tryWhat's this like for someone that doesn't like sport at all? I saw the trailer and noticed that a lot of it was filmed around where I live which could be fun but I have less than zero interest in any kind of sport and neither does the wife.
very little of the first 3 episode is actually SOCCER related. What's this like for someone that doesn't like sport at all? If you're looking for some feel-good vibes in these darker days of pandemic and politics, I'd say absolutely. It's written along some familiar tropes, but it's fun, light-hearted and well done.Ok so is it worth watching?
Entertainment Weekly's review does a pretty good job capturing my sentiment. What's this like for someone that doesn't like sport at all? Ted Lasso has no right to be this funny. It’s got a one-joke premise, built around a character created for NBC Sports back in 2013. But the new Apple TV+ comedy — starring Jason Sudeikis as a soccer neophyte hired to coach a football club in the U.K. — is a wonderfully amusing, surprisingly thoughtful sports sitcom that is, of course, not really about sports at all.
I didn’t even realize there was a first season. I’m not a sports nut but this sounds amusing. I’ll save it for some binge watching this fall.
You’re not humbleGod awful show, the guy isn’t remotely funny, imho of course.
Maybe 20 years ago, but these days it's a requirement to have a UEFA Pro licence. As for experience, the only standouts given a top level job are Solskjær and Lampard, two ex-players with pitiful CVs but who were appointed in desperation. That may seem out of this world but if you follow the EPL (or for that matter several other leagues) you would be surprised at the number of top managers with no experience and almost no qualifications whatsoever.
It's set in Richmond-upon-Thames, an affluent suburb of SW London. The club is entirely fictional, and IRL the area is much more a hotbed of egg-chasing (rugby) than football/soccer.I'm only 3 episodes in and this is my favorite ATV+ show so far! No need to be into soccer (I'm not even sure if Richmond is a real team/place? Gotta Google that) it's just compelling, human-centered story-telling. Love it.
More informative than a Google search! Cheers! It's set in Richmond-upon-Thames, an affluent suburb of SW London. The club is entirely fictional, and IRL the area is much more a hotbed of egg-chasing (rugby) than football/soccer.
It's all subjective, but yes I think it's funnier. Is it better than Space Force, cause I didn’t find that show to be funny or very good.
