Same issue here. All the Atlanta stores are reopening, but the Genius Bar scheduler does not indicate that any are available yet. I will probably hit up Apple chat to see what's up & when they think we can start to book appointments.

UPDATE: Just got off chat with Apple. They said they they cannot even access the Genius calendar in their system. My local store says they they are open tomorrow at 10AM, so I may go drop by before lunch to see if they will take a look at my iPad. My guess is that the schedule will open up late tonight or tomorrow.

I just finished a chat with them as well and saw this update. They said the same thing to me.

UPDATE: reservations are now live on Apple's Repair page as of 8:00pm PDT

COVID isn't going away until herd immunity or there is a vaccine. The opportunity to squash it using an aggressive federal approach (like New Zealand, South Korea, etc.) went away in early March when no action was taken, and now we have to live with it unfortunately. This all considered, you can't expect the country or the world to indefinitely shelter in place. The show must go on, albeit in a much different and hopefully safer way.

Perfectly and succinctly stated. And you’re right, it’s all about being practicing safe measures in public and making good tactical decisions in your local community to make a difference.

It doesn’t look like Genius Bar appointment times (sounds like it would really be a dropoff time) have been opened yet. Anybody know how or when these open stores will be scheduling repairs?
I'm not sure about these stores but my store in Alaska accepted me 3 hours after they first reopened a couple weeks ago for a 2019 27" iMac repair. I booted it up on one of their tables, showed them the problem with the display (while strictly observing the 6 foot rule, I might add) and picked it up after the display was replaced two days later.
Apple is the strictest retail business when it comes to the virus stuff I've yet encountered, almost on the order of the COVID19 screen I had when I went to the dentist in Feb, just before things really shut down tight.

Because, obviously. It’s not like there‘s a ferociously infectious respiratory disease on the loose in which America, by an enormous margin, is the worst affected country in the world. What could possibly go wrong?

Then stay inside where it’s safe. Normal people are ready to get on with their lives.
Normal people? You mean the people who believe they are immune to catching Covid-19? I'm not saying don't start slowly, but when one person can infect a roomful of people, you have to pick and choose your situations and take reasonable precautions.

Ha! All I'm saying is that there's a LOT of TV buying that goes on at Best Buy.

This is very true. I've hit Best Buy twice for curbside and both times I saw a few cars getting big TVs loaded in. I guess people who hadn't upgraded their televisions yet figured if they were home a lot it was worthwhile.

Can't speak for anyone else, but personally I've been shopping a lot more at Best Buy since this started...you don't think about all the little things you need when you suddenly need to build a home office on the fly. Mouse, extra keyboard, laptop riser, mousepad, chromebook charger because kiddo lost his...it was honestly pretty cool to just roll up and have someone pop everything right in the trunk.

Or.. you can relax and let your immune system do its job.

I didn’t mention immunity to covid19 or any other infectious disease. I was referring to cowardly people/fear mongers. If they’re that afraid they should stay home.

Agree with reasonable precautions, though.

They want their “leaders” to tell them when it’s safe. Forget the immune system...we need 24/7 masks, social distancing, and a vaccine so we can feel safe again. Quarantining the healthy is tried and true. Also, having Walmart, Costco, weed/liquor stores open but churches/mosques/synagogues and barber shops closed makes lots of sense. Love my “leaders” in L.A. They know best.

Good...and to the people that are saying its too soon...Then all of you need to STAY HOME...........
They care so deeply about their fellow citizens they want everyone to
shelter (lol) at home. How about you guys do that and get out of the way.

I hope they keep curbside pick-up for the foreseeable future. It's so easy and simple.

And fact, I ran to BB earlier today to do a return and right at the door was a 75" LG UHD TV with a quad-core processor! I cackled right there and got strange looks from the person processing the return.

Why the amusement at that?

Its actually been pretty good having people stayin at home.....Less people on the streets and the Freeways are empty...... They should all stay home till the cure is found......

This is causing everyone to go into complete chaotic madness. Which Apple stores will reopen, who is allowed where etc..

I see. 👍🏼

My in-laws have an 85” tv. It’s massive!

"My TV is bigger than your TV" :p
