Sure and if you have a good statistical chance of living, but potentially with blood clots, holes in your lungs and permanent organ damage. Choice is yours.
Or.. like 40-60% of people, have it and never even have a clue you have it because it does nothing. But sure, lets panic over the rare extreme case.

That old, already sick people are dying. That's breaking news! (Go ahead and bring up some random case of a "healthy" person dying)
You (or anybody else) do not know for those who get covid-19, survive (and don't report it, because they were home), whether there is any long lasting effects due to organ damage that isn't apparent now, but in the future becomes an issue. So believe and act the way you want, some conservative behavior is appropriate at this point in time as evidenced in the slow and rational thinking of getting things moving again.

Antibody testing has already proven 40-60X the number of confirmed cases is actually accurate. That's a massive number of people that had zero issues with it. NY's governor admitted when they had 200k confirmed cases that at LEAST 2.5 million people in NY have had it. That's why the numbers look so bad. The flu kills almost as many people and that's with the benefit of a vaccine and years of experience treating it. We have no idea how to treat this and it's barely killing more than the common flu.

Antibody testing hasn't proven anything as we don't know the long term health implications. It's pointless to debate this, because people will believe what they want. I hope you're not the exception that catches covid-19, recovers and a few years down the road you don't have organ related issues. (actually I hope you don't get it at all is the point, but the unpredicateability of the progress of this disease is why it's worrisome.)

Curbside sales can be done safely and responsibly. Best Buy has been doing it successfully for weeks now. The economy has to open. This is good news.

i sure do enjoy waiting in line for an hour to return something.

check the latest CDC numbers. If you’re healthy and under 50 the mortality rate is .04%. But yeah let’s shut down.

We did shut down and still needed a hospital barge for the sick and refrigerator trucks to store the deceased. But yeah, let's pretend it's business as usual.

Are you referring to the navy hospitals ? Barely used. I could cite additional data and facts but don’t want this thread to get off topic. And really what’s the point, nothing will sway folks online.

With that said glad to see the stores starting to reopen. I have been sitting on a iPad Pro since March that I need to return and get off my credit card, finally.

Some infants are dying.
Lots of old people are dying.
Some healthy people are dying
Some temporarily compromised or otherwise susceptible people are dying.

Your post history gleefully writes them off as deserving or unimportant due to their age or condition, or as an irrelevant statistical insignificance.

Here’s the “random” case you asked about. According to you this guy deserves to die for his selfless act. His donor recipient, too, for needing a chance.

Sounds like a case of lies, damn lies and statistics.

Show me where I said they deserve to die? I said it shouldn't be surprising that they're dying. THEY'RE ALREADY SICK!!!! Of course a few random healthy people are dying. Complications can arise in ANY sickness. I'm sure people have died having their tonsils taken out. That doesn't mean it's a threat to the majority of people.

There was a reason ventilators were modded to treat two patients, that refrigerator trucks sat on the grass holding deceased individuals. That was my point. As for the facts, either they did or didn't treat patients. Seems conflicting information.

Go ahead and show us what lies were in the post you quoted.

The "lie" is the floating hospital was not an arbiter of the seriousness of the situation in NYC. Obviously no one could predict with utter certainty what would happen. But NYC had to do something given the curve at the time.

So there were no lies in that quoted post.

If you read back, you'll see where the "lies" are and misinformed conclusions from that, imo.

You accused poster of lying in reference to this post:

Where is the lie? I provided 2 documented examples of impromptu hospitals being dismantled/unused.

You should retract what you said. The only dishonesty here at this point is coming from you, homie.

This is where the misinformation "lies" started from, imo. No relevance to the fact that NYC was under siege from covid. The poster was implying that since the floating hospital was barely used there wasn't anything to worry about with NYC as I read it. Hence lies, damn lies and statistics.

I don’t think I’ve come across a poster here or a person in real life who has stated there is nothing to worry about. We understand the health risks (which are completely overblown and sensationalized by many in the media) and are ready to get on with it. The doom&gloomers are not.

Thin skull or crumbling skull co-morbidities?

Looks like the doom&gloomers are the majority champ. Bummer about the iPad. You should spend money you can afford to.
