I can tell you from working at the company for many years, we were not given any insider information that is not already available to the public. In other words, we don't know anything the general public doesn't already have at their own disposal on Apple's public website.

I can also tell you that anyone who emails Tim Cook gets contacted by a dedicated team (a fairly large team) called the Executive Relations (ER) team, whose sole job is to respond to those customers who email Tim, and work to resolve the issue as best they can (they don't have the ability to move an order up in the process, so please don't try and email them asking to be moved up).

thanks, it almost seems like CS reps either make things up as they go during each chat or feed into the speculation on the internet. any thoughts or comments?

Haha, you were too quick! I edited my post in the meantime to reflect this. You're absolutely correct in that regard. If you get an advisor who tells you something nice but probably isn't true (in other words, to appease you), it's likely so they'll get a good customer survey rating from you in return. :)

Apple rep to the rescue!

Go away, cynic.

Soo... Since you wanted to be disrespectful, how did this work out for you? CS to the rescue?

Being super nice to the rep paid off- to all of those still processing/preparing to ship, (i am processing still), perhaps MAYBE there is a classic Apple 'one more thing...' moment on the way in the form of a fedex truck! So far all deliveries i have read about have been UPS

That rep said nothing... It will be fedex or ups, duh....

PLEASE post this in that ridiculous thread about folks emailing Tim, thinking he is personally reading/responding. What a bunch of morons.
