Cant leave feedback for website there...unless I am blind. Which is quite possible.

One thing I like is that used iOS devices aren't left stuck on someone else's support profile thanks to this change.

Too many times, I would buy a used device and try adding it to my profile only to see that it had already been linked to another Apple ID, and not in any way related to iCloud. That made it feel like my devices weren't fully mine.

Then going to the Apple Store for service on a used phone would have it show up with someone else's name registered to it. They really should have removed Support Profiles once Activation Lock became a thing.

This scenario right here is the only problem I can see that's solved with the new system; and it's probably the main reason they made this change. There are definite drawbacks to the new system, though.

i found the old page really useful, the replacement is a step backwards .

I manage 70 iPhones at work for employees. How will I get their screens repaired? We send one back on average once a month so cheaper to pay for screens as and when than pay a service charge or contract.

That's a pretty poor change - the get support tool only shows my iMac and MacBook, not my phone, watch or either of my iPads which do all show on my devices under my account
Not impressed!

I am so ticked at apple about this...please someone help me see one "pro" for the change? I can only see "cons".
[doublepost=1477380722][/doublepost]I came across this issue with the support profile a few days ago myself. It appears that if your device is running on an older version of ios with an Apple id that won't be included on the new set up either.

My ex-gf called me up and said she needed my Apple ID to update a certain app. And now her iPhone 7 is appearing on my support page. But MY own 7 Plus is not appearing even though I see it when I go to the manage devices page on my Apple ID. Wtf is this?

LOL nice. I now see a few Macs and a watch. No more iPhones or iPads that I'm signed into.

I recently had to make an appointment for my son's iPad. What an absolute pain. It was SO easy with the app before to just book an appointment. Now digging through the support webpage is painful. Too many steps to just reach the point where you want to 'bring it in' and then choose a location. And then, it would either force me to choose a device from my profile, or the page would give an error and I had to start all over. Terrible.

Similar story here, in fact none of the devices I own that are still covered by AppleCare are listed on the Apple Support page which makes great sense.

Just to add to my previous response. Spoken to Apple Technical Support here in the UK and they suggested that I leave comments on their feedback page under Apps-Support; other comments. Alternatively, maybe Tim could take some time out after Thursday's event to respond to this!

This is getting too convoluted now. On the support page now none of my devices are showing. If I sign into the device list with the old ID that I use for iTunes since I had that before iCloud existed, I see the Apple TV, the iPad, and the iPhone. If I sign into my iCloud ID, I see the iPad, the iPhone, and both watches, but not the TV. This is getting too weird with 3 different places where a device might or might not show up. And since items like my router or pencil would not be signed into an Apple ID, they won't be listed anywhere at all apparently.

I really need to march into Apple and demand that they finally merge my Apple ID's so I don't have to deal with 2 and can finally move away from that insecure yahoo account.

Agree WTF are they thinking... tried to use it this afternoon and wondered where all my and family's stuff disappeared too. I was upgrading an Apple Edition watch I just received this afternoon to 3.1 and it bricked it and had to search for my serial number after learning they changed the once simple process. Shared experience with the advisor and he made note. They seemed to be learning it too and was surprised. On the plus side my replacement will be here tomorrow so it least the outcome was positive.

How on earth did you manage to brick a watch??

And it's crazy that you can't even use the app to schedule genius appointments anymore.

And finding the page in the support portal to make a Genius Bar appointment is nigh impossible. I wasted 15 minutes locating it. I guess that's a good strategy for cutting down the congestion at the Genius Bar - make people give up in frustration and go to a third party!

I have never understood Apple's reluctance to allow people to merge ID's. I have my original Apple ID dating from 14 years ago: I have my mobile me ID, which transferred to iCloud and I supposed I have a pure @icloud ID as well but I have never used it. As a result my purchases are scattered across 2 ID's. I would love to dump the mobile me ID and transfer everything to my original Apple ID.

This is messed up. It only shows 2 Macs on mine. My iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV are all not on there even tho they are all logged in on my Apple ID

Very disappointed with customer care evolution from Apple. Previous Support Profile was really useful (once you get the link), to have at hand all your Apple devices in case you needed support or to repair them, no matter if they were under warranty or not.

Current approach is just a disaster, from more than 10 devices, I just see a one of my MBPr and an one Apple Watch, I do not have my iPads, my iPhones (brand new 7s), etc. It is a mess I have to deal with the ids from my family members, when I am the one handling them, and other devices have just disappeared.

This is not the way I expect to treat customers for products expected to be premium in terms of quality/price.

Actually complaining on MacRumors is more effective than Apple.com/feedback. Here it is public and right in their face. Once it gets all over the internet and their reputation is on the line....they will act. Feedback is a black hole that Apple controls. They direct you there so you aren't blabbing your problems all over the place. It is a form of Apples information control.

Despite what some of you believe, Apple does have people looking here. They have people looking all the time for leaks, HR violations, and feedback on almost all of these tech sites. Anyone who's worked for them knows this.

Exactly - go Apple!

This is stupid. I have 5 iPhones for myself, kids, wife, and mom along with mine and my wife's watch. The only two devices showing on the get support page are an old 2011 iMac and 2013 MacBook Pro which are both expired. Apple ID account page only shows devices logged in and although I can see my iPhone there I cannot see support profile for it.

I'm guessing this is why they made the move.
[doublepost=1477410813][/doublepost]The issue I'm having is that I don't see all my devices (just my Mac and Apple Watch), even though everything is signed onto my iCloud account.

In my opinion that is a very small advantage. I have purchased tons of used devices and several of them have needed service. It was never been a problem for the device to be switched over to my Apple ID. A simple call to Apple, provide serial number and device is moved over.

I just called apple to check status of AppleCare Plus on my wife's Apple Watch which does not show up anywhere in my profile. I was on hold for half and hour and they have no clue. I just hung up and maybe they will call me back - I gave them my number.

I could not even start a support ticket for any of my devices if I wanted to since none show up including the ones logged into my Apple ID.

Another victim of Ive's razor. The Ive's razor principle is loosely similar to the more well-known principle, Ockham's razor. Ive's razor entails thinning or simplifying a computing product (physical, application, or service) and, in the process, removing a significant portion of the prior version's functionality. Few parts of Apple's product and services portfolio have been spared the wincing slash of Ive's razor over the past five-ish years.
