Took them a week to realize they have no alternative, at least in short term? 🙂

Not just short term but middle term as well. It takes at min to build a new fab factory, 5 years. At min. Plus no one has TSMC 4nm tech.

This may be more difficult than you imagine. Semiconductors is very, very competitive business with huge long term investments and enormous know-how.

Apple will not get into this business. No way. They would get kill by intel, tsmc, amd and nvidia.

Why would Apple need to?
Hon Hai/aka Foxconn already committed two major assemblies in the USA to go online in 4yrs or less. TSMC as well for fabs. Remember each serve many more customers - Apple doesn’t need to thrown in waste less $$
