I also think it's time for the ban of airing 3pm Saturday games should be lifted - given the grounds are packed for the games that do air I don't think there is any risk of losing live crowds these days.

To encourage people to go to the games rather than sitting in their homes to watch it. In the UK people typically support their local team and the stadium is usually less than 15-20miles away so getting there isn't that difficult. But the fact there is the thriving black market for illegal streaming services that relay streams from outside the UK back into the UK for people to watch whatever game they wish shows that it's not really working. Why did they ban the airing of 3pm Saturday games?
Errrr….Liverpool FC (.tv) doesn’t have any individual broadcast rights to show live PL games, only youth and pre-season matches with interviews and then only if you have a subscription. Don’t think they even have the domestic cups.Great except the team my family follows , Liverpool, have got their own website going and so all the equipment and all the subscriptions are now worthless , sky etc
Hope apple can get round this

Rupert Murdoch doesn’t own Sky and hasn’t done so for many, many years. It would be fantastic if Apple were to wrestle EPL from Murdoch's Sky as it would cause the whole Sky empire to come crashing down. Sky is propped up by cable TV style deals as Joe Six Pack wants to watch soccer on television. If Apple kills the connection then Sky subscriptions will collapse. That would be a great thing.

I feel like the Olympics are prime for a streaming service. Tons of sports on at the same time, you could watch whatever you want whenever you want. I think Peacock did some of that, but I think it was not promoted well (at least IMO).It’d be nice if Apple would take the exclusive rights to cover the Olympics away from NBC, since NBC is so abysmally bad at it. About three olympics’ses ago was the last time I got an “I tried to watch it. …but couldn’t.” out of anyone. Way to go, nbc. The IOC is a corrupt & unethical organization, but then so are FIFA and Twitter, so clearly Apple has no problem supporting orgs like this if there’s money to be made.
I've never understood why this isn't a bigger deal here in the US. I absolutely LOVED playing this in PE classes when I was in school. This is handball -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handball
Only Americans could come up with something where you dress up in riot gear, throw and catch a ball with your hands and call it football…Of the English speaking countries in the world (which are the only relevant ones since we are talking about the English language here):
UK - Football
Ireland - Soccer
Australia - Soccer
New Zealand - Soccer
South Africa - Soccer
Canada - Soccer
USA (bigger population than all the above combined) - Soccer
What annoys me most about NBC Sports vs Peacock streaming is that Peacock has the best user interface now with a running recap of key moments and NBC Sports has none of that. And the NBC browser view is so outdated. I wish the two platforms would merge into one with the same experience for both.Well, except the USA, where Comcast/NBC Sports signed a big deal a few years ago that lasts through 2028.
Well, the (not round) ball does get kicked once in a while...Only Americans could come up with something where you dress up in riot gear, throw and catch a ball with your hands and call it football…
That what the Super League was all about but these so called fans were stupid and short sighted enough not to see it. Or they just love to watch 3rd rate games.Agree with this - very surprised the Premier League haven't considered this approach.
