If you read the graphs, it's obvious they don't still sell them.iPod sales? What? I didn't even know they still sold them.

If you look at it from the dollar amount. It sure sounds like a lot to pay in taxes (it is a lot!). But, when someone like myself pays 25% tax rate. And I sure don't make billions annually or quarterly. It doesn't seem fair. Having said that. If Apple is using those tax savings to contribute to charities or expanding its business. Going Green in all aspects of its business. Improving its products, research and development, and returning value to its shareholders. I'm fine with their tax rate.Never understood why people are so hung up on tax rates.
Apple pays BILLIONS in taxes. I mean, damn, people should be freaking grateful for its contributions. But no, all they want to do is whine and moan.
Apple is a company that is turning into a phone company that makes computers on the side
Tax rates on consolidated figures don’t say much. different countries have different tax rates. If you look at it from the dollar amount. It sure sounds like a lot to pay in taxes (it is a lot!). I didn't either -- and they apparently make a lot more money off of them than Macs.iPod sales? What? I didn't even know they still sold them.
Oops, I shouldn't read this kind of thread right after I get up. 😊I didn't either -- and they apparently make a lot more money off of them than Macs.
AAPL made over 30% more profit than MSFT and OpenAI was a rounding error for MSFT.Not bad, but greatly overshadowed by Microsoft+OpenAI.
Nothing, I am just referencing how little the Mac contributes these days. What’s wrong with that?
Apple sells way more iPhones than Macs, and it’s easier to build an ecosystem around a computer that you have with you at all time.
I would have run Apple the exact same way.
Little is relative. The Mac business is literally bigger than most companies.Nothing, I am just referencing how little the Mac contributes these days.
First, there are reasons for USA to impose a progressive income tax where rates increase with income. The Federal Income Tax was established in 1913 with the ratification of the 16th Amendment. Progressive taxes exist so that the burden of paying for government services, oversight, and infrastructure doesn't fall disproportionately on those earning lower incomes. With a progressive tax system, those who earn less are taxed less. Those who earn more are taxed more. The fact that a company making 20billion a quarter pays only 16% tax by exploiting tax loopholes, while a hardworking middle class making 200k a year pays 45% tax, is simply wrong.Never understood why people are so hung up on tax rates.
