Um... but they did?Apple has never offered a matte black MacBook
If you ignore the reflected light, everything is pure black...If you ignore the reflected light, it's pure black.
I don't see Apple eliminating silver for black, it would just be a third (possibly pricier) option.I like this idea far too much. Maybe that's the whole point... leave it out of the lineup for long enough, and people will clamor for it. Then, a few more years down the line people will be begging for silver again.

I clicked to find an MKBHD comment. This forum clearly doesn’t disappoint 🤣MKBHD is about to nut
I would say the consumer wanting a MacBook Pro isn't looking for a green or orange one. Also colorful laptops like the old iBooks aren't as popular anymore and I'm sure that's why Apple isn't currently doing it. Niche colors don't sell well.Black and Aluminum are cool but why can't we use more colour in our life? Those original colourful ibooks were and still are pleasant aesthetically over the dystopian shades of grey colours.
Look at those icons! A time where UI design wasn't so homogeneous.Long live this wonderful Black MacBook that I had... running Mac OS X Tiger 10.4!

Finding* ways.Apple always looking for more ways to take our money![]()
They could use Aluminum Black Oxide coating. That’s an oldie but goodie.Wonder if it's more scratch resistant than space gray.
