I know it's not an Apple product but this phone was actually very good. I had no issues with the mechanics of the device but I believe OnePlus abandoned it to make their phones more water resistant. The phone also had an under the screen fingerprint reader which was really good (you could choose to have the camera pop up for logging in but it wasn't as secure as Face ID as it just used a photo). While I do like Face ID on my iPhone, it's been a complete pain during the pandemic. I'd prefer an under the screen Touch ID or Face ID with a power button Touch ID so users can chose.Oneplus 7 Pro anyone? That was a short-lived wonder.

I wonder if there would be a breathalyzer app to discourage drinking and texting… 😂Do away with notch and have a secure breath ID. “iPhone: Achhhh, yes, it’s you, it’s you!”
So you want better battery life but decreased weight. How?So incredibly complicated… so unlike Apple. Just shrink the notch by a half or 1/3rd. It’s not that bad… focus on battery life, decreasing weight and better refresh rate… jeez.
The all new ceramic shield pro with 8x drop resistance, we think you're going to love it. 🤔😂Not when it’s covered with Ceramic Shield and titanium![]()
I always held off on getting any iPhone after the X because the thought of having a phone with a notch REALLY bothered me. Well, after having the iPhone SE 2020 for about a year, I walked into a Best Buy, played around with a 12 mini (somehow I didn't even realize these were a thing) and I was hooked. Ordered one that day and got it 3 days later. I don't know how or why, but the notch just blends into the phone now and I barely even see it. It doesn't seem like a notch per say, but almost as if it's just another UI element that's part of the screen. Whenever I use my SE 2020 now, all I can see are the HUGE borders on top and bottom and how it feels like it's missing something. I'm not the only one I'm sure.I've owned every iPhone model with "the notch" and it never bothered me....I don't even notice it!!
That looks worse in my opinion, now instead of the screen looking full screen, it has a forehead at the top which looks ugly. The notch however, almost seems like a UI element or a design decision rather than a cut out. You probably don't agree, but I was certain I'd hate having a phone with a glaring notch staring at my face all the time but after using it, it doesn't stick out to me anymore. In fact, using my old iPhone SE 2020 seems ancient and the big bezels are rather jarring and old feeling.I still think they should have done something like this from the beginning:

Yeah the notch doesn't bother me anymore -- when the screen was leaked i thought forsure Apple was going to do something similar to the link i posted. But I can see why they did not. That looks worse in my opinion, now instead of the screen looking full screen, it has a forehead at the top which looks ugly. yes but you can't use Face ID while wearing a mask if you don't have an Apple Watch. A Touch ID alternative would be pretty sweet.Because we already have Face ID?
Faceid is much much worse than touchid and apple knows if after the last year and a half of complaints from people wearing masks. For the love of all that is holy, no. FaceID is perfect. I had so many issues with TouchID that half of the times I had to just use my pin.
Pretty seamless for me. I don’t even have to think about it. It’s as if my phone has no password at all. I pick it up and just start using it without even thinking. Touch ID took a conscious effort.Faceid is much much worse than touchid and apple knows if after the last year and a half of complaints from people wearing masks.
faceid is a step back in how to unlock your phone. It’s nice when the phone is directly in front of your face sure. But a lot of the time it’s not and it doesn’t work well.
If you use your phone directly in your face sure yea it’s nice. Lounging around home No. phone on the couch and you want to unlock it? you have to pick it up. Phone on the counter and want to unlock? No. You have to lean over the counter and still doesn’t work half the time.Pretty seamless for me. I don’t even have to think about it. It’s as if my phone has no password at all. faceid is good if you have your phone in front of you Touch ID works in either situation the same way. Lounging or close. I prefer Touch ID after having faceid since the x. It’s become an annoyance since Covid.
It really isn't a big deal for me. 99.99% of the time, I'm holding my phone when I want to use it.exactly, i can operate my phone in any way, I do not have to bring it upfront to my face.
