YES figured it out!!! go to the status page and use ur reservation number to login, apple Id won't work, and then complete the order :)
 
Hi everyone,

I got the 2nd email. When you go to log in use your reservation number and mine came up that way and i was able to order my phone. It did not come up when i put my apple id in. i had to use the reservation number

mine is going to be delivered 10-14

i ordered the ATT 32 Gig white with green bumper.

I have had all black iphones and wanted a change
 
Finally (after desperately trying to get it through prior) received the opportunity to reserve my order at 4:50am, received email from Apple confirming the reservation at 4:52am.

Got the "complete your iPhone order" email at 6:38am, followed the process and went through without a hitch. It stated that I had to complete my order by 5pm on 10/8/2011 to keep the priority of my order.

Stated that it should be delivered on 10/14/2011.

AT&T iP4S 16GB/Black (upgrade)
Standard Shipping

For those that braved the early hours to order I sincerely hope your able to get the order in and have it arrive on launch day.

not working for me. keeps saying "could not be processed at this time" UGH :mad:
 
I ordered a Att white 32gb 4gs, around 545est. I got the first email, stating it will be delivered by the 14th, but no second email, and nothing on the reservation part of the site.

I'm usually a line guy, but am to busy this time and figured I'd try my luck pre-ordering.
 
After 2 hours, I got the second e-mail and completed the order without any problems. Just be patient for the 2nd e-mail, and your place is reserved up to Saturday at 5PM anyway, so there's nothing to sweat today. Relax, guys, if you got the first e-mail you'll be good to go. Hope this calms some people down.

I personally wasn't freaking out too bad, but was curious, as I'm not normally a pre-order guy.
 
Couldn't make it work until the email came in. But now my work is done.. and a good night's sleep gets upgraded to a power nap.
 
I was hesitate if I should share this but there is a glitch with the reservations. If you reserved more than one iPhone 4S on one line, you can order that many iPhone 4S's for the full subsidized price. The maximum reservations you can do on a single line is 3 so you can get 3 fully subsidized iPhones on 1 contract. I know it's hard to believe but it works. Even if your reservation has expired, you can order another iPhone but at a later shipment date.

I know it works because I was able to do it. If you have extra reservations, log in with your Apple ID and it'll allow you to make another order. I was skeptical at first but it allows you to go all the way through to check out. I guess there is a glitch in the reservation process. Since you reserved it, it may have skipped the step to check your upgrade eligibility during ordering since that was already done when you reserved your iPhone. Seeing as how reservations were allow for only a brief period of time, the process was possibly not polished before use.
