Same thing.
Samsung M8 looks rather cheap... plastic cheap.
Yep. I considered it when it was first announced, but then realized what the case and back looked like and...nope. I'm not a social media influencer, which is who I feel this was designed for. It seriously looks like it was meant to look good on some boho-chic TikToker's "check out my WFH setup" post.

The Studio Display and the MateView are the only two things I've seen that would go well with the Studio. I'm really surprised there aren't other aluminum cased displays on the market.

I gotta say, when Apple revealed the Studio Display, I found it ridiculous that it would cost 2000 CAD.
But right now, I'm on the market for a monitor that :
1. Looks and feels premium
2. Has a high-resolution
3. Has sound
4. Has GREAT sound
5. Is color accurate
6. Has a webcam
I did not really find anything else on the market.

Why don't I go with that and swallow the pill about the 2 grands ?
Well, I actually also have a 7th and 8th criteria : I want it to be 120 Hz, and I want it to be ultra-wide, as in "two displays in one", because I actually need two displays and I don't like having separate displays.

By adding those two criteria, the market in 2022 has absolutely nothing to offer to me.

Only $200 off compared to a new one. Better to buy a brand new one considering not a huge difference in price.
Have you ever tried a refurbished Apple product? Tbh I couldn't tell if it was brand new or refurbished without the outside packaging. I always use the difference to purchase Apple Care+.

Whenever I see the rear of this machine I can't help but see Mickey Mouse....I think my brain has finally gone bonkers!

I much prefer 3 prong plugs to the 2 prong versions seen in a lot of electronics these days. I feel much safer knowing that my device is ground and will to conduct itself properly.

$200 off practically new (only a 3 months old at most) is a great deal. I still look for value where I can find it. 10% differences in price for .01% - 2% difference on quality is a big deal for me. Eventhough I'm middle class now, I grew up poor--5 brothers sleeping on one mattress poor. Maybe it's just my poverty mentality talking.

They are not applying discounts to refurbished Mac Studio... they are selling refurbished ones at the same price of new ones... incredible
