Well i've had a good look at the replies and a good giggle at most of them. Thanks for your input guys
you can get back to me when you have something to backup your mindless, unfounded ramblings. I
wasn't expecting to get a great reception from my anti iPhone post on one of the worlds biggest
Apple fanboy's websites but thanks anyway for your input. My points remain valid.
Wizard i think gets where i'm coming from and is the only one worthy of a response as his post made
sense and had method to his responses.
First of all don't get me wrong. I don't have an issue with Apple per se. I have owned hundreds of
products they designed. At the moment i have and iPhone 4 32GB white, which is performing better
than any of the 4 of my black ones i had before. An old second gen Nano the latest gen iPod Classic
160GB A Macbook Pro and a 24" iMac. They're all great I only have an issue with the iPhone 4.
Maybe i should be more specific. In relation to the iPhone 4. I think it is a flawed product because i
know even though i had four black ones and one white one i didn't get one that i could hold a
conversation on until my fifth one. Its the first product i've had from Apple that i haven't
been completely satisfied with. I have no doubt that the iPhone 4 would have been the best phone
on the planet had Apple gotten the 'phone' part of it right! If you were lucky enough to get one that
works perfectly then i can gather you are very lucky and must be happy with your
phone. I get that, but i wasn't so lucky and i can only come to the conclusion that if i had 4 bad
ones before i got a good one. That the black model is flawed and i only got lucky with a white
one because it was manufactured much later.
Your right Wizard I only worked for Apple briefly and it wasn't in the R&D department. I never
built a phone from the ground up your right. But i do know that if i was in the business of making
phones and technology from the ground up for the last 20 years it wouldn't take me a year to put
a new camera and a faster processer in it to make a 3G a 3GS. And was simply suggesting that
if they do that again with the iPhone 4 that i'll be very disappointed and wont be purchasing that
particular model.
Let me assure you i had an iPhone 2G for almost two years. Back when you had to type code in
line by line to unlock it and even then it was hit and miss. Emotional need for a new product is
not something i crave. I'd settle for an iPhone i can make a call on for more than 10 minutes
without seeing the words 'call failed'. I also have no issue with the iOS. Its one of the most
advanced in the world (in parts) The issue i was referring to was the hardware issue with the
iPhone.
I can comprehend why Nokia's devices are now so cheap. Financial crisis will force you to
reduce your profit margins to pay the bills. The only reason for an explosion of iPhone sales
is due to massive subsidies being offered by networks. Apple have done a fantastic job
getting into markets all over the world and outselling other manufactures in a few short
years but make no mistake about it. They are not doing any favors for us with the initial
price point of €500 to €700. That will need to come down to capture the rest of the market
and those who cant afford the bills even with the subsidy.
I beg to differ. I drop a few thousand euros with Apple every year. And recommend products
to many colleagues, friends and family who all generally have a product or two. I'm a fanboy
too. And if they loose me they loose more than just me guaranteed. Fine it might not hurt
them much financially but if more are getting a bit cheesed off just like me it could be to
their own detriment. And i don't miss a beat I've seen the sharp decline in other manufacturers
but the fact remains i can buy a nokia and put a 64GB memory card in it. Maybe Apple should
start offering us their phones in a similar way that they offer us the macbook pro. If we
choose we can upgrade to 64GB or 128GB and pay the extra. Let us choose from 10 colors.
And decide what accessories we would like. Instead of just removing one piece of the kit each
time until we have nothing left while thinking that we haven't noticed!
iPhone 2G: iPhone, headphones, Charger, USB, dock, Cleaning Cloth, Sim opening tool,
instruction manual.
Look in your iPhone 4 box and guess which part is going next. USB Cable or Charger?!

Again you don't seem to comprehend the financial issues that most of the other hand
set makers are suffering from. In any event you clearly highlight your mental issues with things
that are new. Most people prefer that that works well, thus an explosion in iPhone sales.
Apples numbers speak for themselves, people want value for their money.

Bye bye! Seriously Apple doesnt need customers that are so disconnected from
reality. Disconnected you are because you have missed just how strongly Apples products
have been accepted in the market. Further you have missed the sharp decline of Nokia and
other handset manufactures. The reality is few have a need for a new phone every couple
of months. With smart phones the desire is actually the opposite as they become integrated
into people's lives more and more.
