^ What about the Willow Bend store? :D I'm surprised they didn't place a store in Frisco. Seems everything is being built there. Stonebriar Mall would be a good location methinks.

There is a new Apple Store going in at Stonebriar. It should be open by the holidays.

about freak'n time!

Its about freak'n time Apple opened a store in Fort Worth. Although I will still use Fort Worth Camera as my Apple vendor of choice, its nice to have access to the genus and iPhone stuff that they can't carry at the camera store...

In a time when Apple says some 80% if the population lives within an hour of an Apple store, Apple may be realizing that most people don't enjoy driving an hour to get to a store...

Agreed, really is not fun when you need something from the Apple store and you get stuck in rush hour traffic. Now I don't have to worry about that as much!

Make One In EDinburgh SCotland, Already, My nearest one is 4 hours away, to far to drive just to drool over macs, Ive never been to an apple store before, might go to the one in London I fI go again, they look so cool.

Hey steve Jobs if your listening.

EDINBURGH wants an apple store! Now!!!:p

There is one open in Glasgow.

I wish they would put one in West Texas somewhere. I'm in Lubbock, TX right now and the nearest one is 5 hours away in either New Mexico or Oklahoma. With the amount of college kids around here you'd think they would open up a store.

If you had picked a real school to attend, you'd be a lot closer to an Apple Store.

Just kidding.

I got my tshirt. Too bad it's an XL and I wear a M. Oh well it's from Apple! LOL!

So, I drove by the store yesterday and it looks fairly large (we're not talking SoHo or anything) so who knows what they might be doing for the grand opening. Anyway, it's only about 15 minutes from where I live so I am planning on heading that way around 9:30 a.m. Looks like there will be scattered thunderstorms, so you might bring an umbrella just in case, but I doubt there will be a line to get into the store.

I was planning on bringing a cooler with drinks and such for kind of a tailgate party, but if the weather is bad, I probably won't.

Anyway, hope to see some of you there and check out the new store!

:)

Do you know if they give any prizes away besides T-Shirts, just wondering.

Fort Worth Store

My wife and I drove up to the Fort Worth Store on Saturday. We got there at 9:00 am. What a line too. We waited outside with all the other Mac people. At 10:00 am sure enough they opened up. All I saw anyone get was the free t-shirt. We got in the store around 10:15 am. The shirts are cool. Black and have a Apple on them with University Park Village next to the Apple logo. On the back they have Designed By Apple in California.
The store seemed smaller than the one in Southlake, but I do believe it may be a bit wider so it might be the same size. I bought a Marware Protection Pack for my new 17" mac pro. Didn't take longer than a few moments and then I was out of the store. Will be nice to have it around the corner as I live just down the street by TCU.

I know the pain...

I feel for you folks that don't have a new apple store near you. It was years that it took to get an Apple store here. I think this one is a little smaller than the Southlake store, but who cares. I went at lunch on Monday and it was packed. Maybe we'll get another store a few years in the future...

I don't know how they pick their locations, but I never found a "suggest a site" place on the Apple web site.
