Did I miss something, or where there no iPad-centric updates?
From what I could tell, not really? It's getting some apps that only iPhone had until now. Not sure if it got Weather though, which I think is the last one? Kinda ridiculous it took them this long. Otherwise I think there are a lot of small tweaks and same improvements. Will be interested to see the full changes discovered as people install it on their devices and take screenshots. About to go dive into the new iOS 12 forum if it's up…

Finally! It's about time Apple focused on important stuff like T-Rex animoji and Memoji. These are super important and proof that Apple is finally back on track in the post-Steve era.

Now if they could just let us add a sticker to our Memoj ... what? You say we can! Stickers yay!!!!

</sarcasm> <sigh />

I'm looking forward to Apple warning me that I don't use my iPhone enough. I use it to check email and receive phone calls and look at top news on Reddit when a work meeting goes long:

Wish this feature came to MacOS where 99.9% of my computing time is.

Ok, I usually give Apple the benefit of the doubt on these things, but this was truly THE WORST WWDC of all the times.

They spent, literally, the most time on Memoji's and how you can stick your tongue out with a gimmick you'll use TWICE if you're really feeling frisky or that drunk. And then in a close second on how to block yourself from using their device they want you to use. They literally implemented features to stop you from using the phone they're selling you.

WTF? Memojis? That was the worst WWDC keynote ever, for both content and presentation. Bloated, slow, boring.

They managed to drag out 'features' 99% of their users will never use or care about. It was something SPECIAL.

How about the volume indicator? Or a dark mode for iphone x. Or an always on mode for iphone x!

This **** is getting old!
I think I saw a pic or two of an iphone with a black notification color... so maybe they added it but didnt mention it so it could be more surprising for the mac! Or so it can be a tidbit afterwards.... or I could be wrong (I hope not)

Are people as interested in animojis as apple thinks? The number one feature for any apple update is introducing new emojis or animojis. I thought it would be just a gimmick like live photo but I guess it isn't?

For me, I don't think the change to DND will be enough. I want the ability -- like on Android -- to have multiple DND profiles, so I can have one DND profile during the work week (for example, the DND ends at 6am) and have another DND profile for the weekend (like DND ends at 9am). This is NOT hard to program and for the life I do not understand why Apple does not offer this basic but extremely helpful feature.

CarPlay adds support for third-party navigation apps displayed right on the car's dash -- joining music, messaging, calling and automaker apps.

Cool, after 1000km of apple maps not actually knowing half the locations, never mind taking me a random route instead of the simplest direction, I look forward to seeing google maps allowed for carplay.

The group FaceTime feature seems like it will be popular.

The Memojis probably has a specific demographic that will utilize it more that others (Very "Snapchat"ish in terms of the filters).

Animojis don't bother me. I'm guessing people have been using it for them to add more features.

The one thing I'm really looking forward to is group chat with FaceTime. This is going to be really cool for interacting with the online classes I teach.

Is the Book update going to let us upload files from our computer like we used to be able to do, and like every other book reader does in the App Library?

I send them via email and then open them in Books.

I really hope that this stuff is off by default (or at least let me turn it off), I don't need my phone telling me how to use it.

It is telling you how you use it, not how to use it. Big difference in my opinion.

FINALLY, grouped notifications!
It's kind of sad this is only now being introduced; and introduced as a feature to roaring applause, no less.

Yeah, knowing Android has had this for years kinda made laugh a bit at the applause. It was really overdue.

It used to be there but apple took it away! You used to have the option to group by app or not. So glad it’s coming back! I hate chronological notifications!

Really? I can't remember stumbling over that option. What iOS version was that? :)
