These have got to be the least interested iPhones ever lol. Completely overshadowed by the X.

Damn shame they’ve used the same design now for 4 years. It sounds good though, should my iPhone 6 ever break I’ll get that larger capacity space gray one.

Whilst sad they’ve dropped the Sony-like “piano black” colour option I’m happy they’ve returned to using glass on the back. Maybe now iPhones won’t be so slippy :)

I’m struggling to work out if this is a joke post or the kind of rambling from an overly image conscious teen.

I was actually being partially sarcastic and partially truthful as many around here do claim that having an Apple product shows "wealth" compared to other people.

I don’t care about the ‘it looks the same’ complaints, these models look cleaner than the iPhone X.

Honestly, I simply can't see why anyone would buy the iPhone 8 or 8+. For a few dollars more per month just get the X

I'd be *very* wary of getting an X until some serious journalism is done on the accuracy / usability of the facial recognition software.

Because if unlocking your phone becomes a pain in the ass, it pretty much ruins the entire device.

Hm, i am definitely in the market for a new phone since I skipped the 7 last year but the X is very expensive and I am not sure how Face ID will perform.

I know for a fact I wont be buying the „8“ thought. Can’t believe that was even released. To me it looks incredible outdated.

In regards to the iPhone 8 presentation, I have one thing to say:

Seriously, using the same design from the last 2 years is sad. I mean the glass front and back is understandable for the wireless charging ( which should've been out a couple years ago but they sat on it. I don't know if Qi is that much of a big advancement since it's been around for a while in the last 4-5 years ).

Color me grumpy! The smaller phone legion got nothing. Zilch. Nada. "Bionic" A11 chip in the 8 and the SE still rocking the A9. Somebody please explain what could be the dumbest product line photo I've ever seen:

other than he obvious answer: to prop up the high-end price points. For the love of Steve, do we really need both the 6s and the 7?? Didn't anyone in the boardroom balk at that lineup? Drop the aging 6s and update the SE! No reason it couldn't have the A10 processor. Lord!

P.S. If I replace my dying 6 with an SE this weekend and they announce improvements in March, I'll be Bionic Grumpy!

Go use the breathe app!

This is a 7s crap update boring keynote so far as usual hype is more than reality

The screen is amazing - I can hear its clarity when I hold it to my head and use this PHONE. Mind blown with pixels .... hit snooze.... maybe Apple should innovate computers again... YAWN!

They've created this fragmented mess. No love for the small form factor and never had a similar design to the others. I think the 6s/6s+ has to be retained to satisfy people that want to use a real headphone or earbuds... which is me. I'm not planning to buy a smartphone that doesn't have a headphone jack, so I'm probably going to be looking to give Samsung a try.

No 128GB option, so another loss-leading lower end trying to push people to the more expensive model. OK, so 64GB isn't exactly tiny in terms of capacity, but if you start recording 4K video you'll chew through that in a hurry.

Not that it matters so much to me. I got my 6s last year and am going to be fine with it for a while. I still need headphones that last more than 4 hours, and I have yet to find my phone lacking in anything it does. With the bleeding edge getting more and more expensive, living behind the curve gets more and more appealing.

I seriously doubt the SE will be updated anytime soon, if at all. At that price point, it will not get regular updates like the rest of the iPhone lineup. If Apple decides to keep the 4" form factor, maybe they will update it in another year, (or more likely, the following March), when they drop the 6s, (and other devices with that chip).

This lineup makes total marketing sense, a price range for most budgets. The A9 chip is no slouch, IMO. I went from the 6 to 6s and it was a noticeable jump in overall responsiveness and speed. The only difference between the SE and the 6s is the screen and 3D touch, otherwise it has all the same features, including the cams. The SE/6s iPhones will do the newer 700MHz cell signals (a main reason for jumping from 6 to 6s, as I switch to T-mo w/6.) I now have the 7+ and plan to keep it for another year, but, I'm on T-mo's JOD plan, so, may change my mind in a few months.

My only beef is that they used this lineup to justify a $50 price increase on the 8, (7 started at $649 yesterday), so, I kind of agree with you there.

So does this mean I can crack the glass on the front and the back now? What happens if the glass cracks on the back? This just seems like more of a risk for damage now.

Sigh... alas this is Apple's tactic. Bait you with $999 then force you to have $1500 if you want enough memory.
