And why aren’t Americans who are so blatantly hot for Putin more ashamed of themselves? Or at least arranging their move to Russia so that they can finally live out their fantasies and submit to the big, alpha patriarch instead of just daydreaming about it?

Here's a different take: Putin and Zelenskyy are both horrible people.

A few days ago, Zelenskyy promised peace talks in the new year. Today he allows the US to launch missiles at Russia.

You are really putting the two on equal level here? One is routinely targeting civilians, while the other is trying to defend his country from an aggressor.

I said they're both horrible; I didn't feel a need to differentiate.

A treaty was within reach in 2022, but NATO pressured Zelenskyy to walk away.

War is a failure of diplomacy. Lots of people have blood on their hands for this on both sides.

It's remarkable how much this doesn't resemble Joe's show. I don't understand the hatred.
He is after the 'catch them' moment. People watch/listen to him because he aims for the controversy. It doesn’t mean he gets it every interview, but it’s why people watch him. Sure, some may be interesting, but I don’t need those moments to keep me interested. You do you.

I don’t know what you’re referring to about the gotcha moments, but you do you.

Gotta give Rogan credit. The mere mention of him has this thread dedicated to him already with mentions and now it's a political gutter talk 🤣
Controversy. People need to feel stimulated. They want the highs and the lows. That’s the political spectrum he’s after.

Yes! I love that show. The banter between Conan, Sona and Matt often rivals if not surpasses the interactions with the actual guest. I can be having the worst day and they always manage to make me smile :D
Agreed. There is no bad days if a new episode has dropped. ❤️

And a perfect example of needing to be controversial. Btw: Fact check: The U.S. didn’t fire missiles at Russia. Controversial and fake news? Rogan fan?

Again, that hyperbolic attitude cost one party the entire federal government.
Tucker Carlson platformed a Neo Nazi who was barred from entering the UK because of a hate crime conviction (for spray painting a swastika on a synagogue) to “make a point” about “free speech” in the UK.

For culture war points.

That’s not hyperbole.

It's weird you think it's controversial to call both leaders terrible. Instead of seeking peace, both men are responsible for immense loss of life and destruction.

Why is it ok for center-left news outlets to host, interview and meet with Trump, then?

If you honestly believe that Ukraine would continue if Russia stopped the invasion on a foreign country then it wouldn’t be controversial. I think you know the answer, thus I believe you are being controversial. But maybe you actually are in the tiny majority of people in the world who think that. Again, creating this type of false narrative, or at least posing it as a viable opposing view is what draws people to Joe Rogan, even if it isn’t or ever been true. 🙄

Ukraine passed on a peace treaty. The fault lies with both parties.
"the fault lies with both parties"?....one party literally invaded the other, rained down missiles on its people and cities, annexed off its territory and killed thousands of its civilians....and because the other party didn't accept a peace treaty which meant giving up its territory and effectively its independence to do anything without the permission of the invading party which has spent months killings its people in their homes on the pretence that it "felt threatened" despite having enough nukes to destroy every city on the planet....and you say the fault lies with both parties 🤦‍♂️....

Some people just want to create controversy.

I'm not a huge fan of Rogan, but characterizing setting snobby terms and refusing to actually meet the people who don't want to vote for you (yet?) on eye level as "it just didn't come together" is just an incredibly ignorant take. She didn't have anything to gain from that interview? Reminder, she lost the election. So yes, she had a lot to gain from that interview, i.e. potential voters. This was not a small mishap: I do think this decision is indicative of what went wrong in her campaign.
She was not going to gain a thing from the interview. Anyone that was open to receiving her was already there.

She lost the election because of gaslighting, and interview with Rogan would have been more gaslighting.

Joe Rogan Experience FTW!

All the doctors and scientists are great guests.

People giving you thumbs down: "I don't like free speech!, more censorship and only things I agree with!!" lol. Left or right free speech FTW! Joe Rogan Experience is certainly a Wild West of a podcast but its pretty interesting.

It just goes to show the demographics of this forum right here, or at least the type of people that take the effort to come, comment and/or react to the article.
In the end, they can hate it all they want and act as if it is a garbage show or unknown by anybody, truth is, stats don’t lie. Even surprised that Apple didn’t “massage” the numbers more to make it look more neutral and correct.

Harris was offered a slot on Rogan's show. Her campaign astonishingly declined.
This is the type of comment that do not deserve any sort of reaction, and if it warrants a reply, ideally in a way that is as impersonal as possible and that doesn’t notify the main commenter (i.e the people that say that JR denied an interview with…).
Everybody knows there was an offer in place but that there were demands about some questions that were forbidden to be asked about in the interview, which understandably, rubs the wrong way to the host of the show.

See it like this. You want to join a club or gym because you like what they offer. Your neighbour thinks his club is better and to prevent you from join the club he breaks into your home and takes over two rooms, takes one of your children to his house and abuses your wife. You start fighting back to kick him out, but he throws stones at you. He then offers to stop trying to kill you if he is allowed to stay in the two rooms and you leave your family and his brother will be the new husband and father to your children.
is that a deal you would be happy with?

There's two kinds of losers: the kind that reflects on the defeat and learns and the kind that blames the winners and repeats the same mistakes all over again. It's a good rule for life as well: there's nothing to gain from dwelling on your perception of unfairness or self-righteousness. Even if indeed you've been tricked, your time is still best spend on your own agency, not moralistic pontifications.

it was clear at the tiume there wasn't anything to gain from a rogan interview.

Rogan is very predictable, his podcast is his business and he will cater to his customers. that makes complete sense and is fine. but also we gotta call a spade a spade.
