Yeah, that innovative Samsung. Just look at that Galaxy Fold! Oh wait, you can’t.

This is true. Also true: AirPower.

Apple focuses on gimmicks pretending to be features: 3D Touch, APFS, portrait photos. Pressure sensitive UI is lame and boring. No one cares about a damn file system. And no phone should have 3 camera lenses—the trade off of aesthetics isn’t worth better quality photos.

Samsung innovates cool stuff we can brag about.

Bingo. 3D Touch, Force Touch, Taptic Engine, A chip, T chip, W chip, H chip, W chip, S package, Touch Bar, Portrait photos, Live photos, Face ID, Apple Pay, iWatch EKG crap, HomePod beamforming tech crap, Metal 2, Swift, APFS, ProMotion, TrueTone. Oh yeah. iWatch rubber bands. LUL.

You notice Samsung doesn’t trifle with such nonsense. They give us a curved screen, a camera dot, and a huge battery. That’s all you need.

Why talk about Samsung? Who gives a crap about them?

When Apple starts taking content creators/the creative industry and power users seriously again and not marginalize or abandon them in favor of fashionable wearables/toys/services/gimmicks, I'll raise my estimation of Tim Cook's Apple. For now, I remain deeply disappointed in them.

If that’s the case why don’t they have any real competition to iPads, airpods or Apple Watch

If it is not the case, why doesn't Apple put up any real competition in the desktop/server/workstation/power user/creative market? Where's the Mac Pro? Where are the creative tools like Aperture, Shake, OpenGL/Vulkan support, etc.? Where is the attention for macOS? Where is the CUDA/nVidia support?

LUL. I’m in tears. You finna be waiting a long time, bro. A looooong time. True creatives and pros use Windows and Linux, by the way.

And why Samsung? Because they phones be having more RAM than an iMac. Think bout dat. Plus DeX. THAT’S what innovation looks like. DeX makes all Apple gear look like toys. Because they are.

Yeah, I know, I use Windows and Linux at my company, because there isn't a Mac in the current line-up that can handle the type of work my company does.* Sad state of affairs that I blame Tim Cook for.

What's LUL. It means c0ck in Dutch language. Did you mean LOL?

*except maybe a maxed out iMac Pro, but who has money for that. My boss would laugh at me if I asked him for one (let alone three) of those.

Yeah, since a previewed accessory almost everyone forgot about and a flagship mobile device you already shipped to customers are the same thing.

and guess what a company with $265.5 Billion in annual revenue wants more than anything else?

More money.
If you invest in Apple shares today, do you care more about the share price in the future or the market capitalization in the future more?

Shares that doesn’t change in price is just dead money collecting depreciation tax.

The main thought process for that here internally at Apple is that they have done nothing but focus on climbing ladders as a company and losing foresight on consumer products. It's been dark here the last few years

I could not disagree more. The Apple products I've purchased over the last six or seven years have all been outstanding.

The reason Apple is so successful financially, is that the company produces premium products that many millions of satisfied repeat customers want to purchase recognizing excellent value, year after year after year. That's a good formula for success.

Yeah it have more RAM then iMac but it constantly restart your app even more often then iphone. What a joke.

And I laugh my ass out when you mentioned Dex. Dex is basically a dock that turns your samsung phone into a crappy pc. But behold! You cannot use it as a pc unless you carry a Dex dock, a monitor, a mouse, and a keyboard with you. So here’s a question. Why just I use a laptop?

Thats too bad, they really need to be knocked down a few pegs to be reminded they need to focus on the customer instead of things resulting from Jony Ive's poor mental health.

My 2018 MBP gen-3 keyboard has started acting up again, which will mean a 2nd top case replacement on this damn $4500 machine. I am so beyond ever considering another Apple product with how terrible their quality control has been and their lack of interest in maintaining the product lines I purchase from them.

Market cap doesn’t have to increase for share price to increase.

No wonder, Apple is spending 5 million dollar for each episode of „Amazing stories“

Well, I can safely say iMac & Mac Pro sales didn't contribute much to all that revenue.

I don't have a problem with diversity. But damn, Apple did you forget your roots? :(

If Apple would have just relied on their "roots", they would have been doomed long time ago. ;)

And yet they still price their products as if they're still the same struggling company from 1994.
Also, what's with the weird apple with blisters?

What’s with the odd graphic? Looks like a tumor-riddled Apple — OK, perhaps it is appropriate.

thats a really cool logo

Heheh... a distilled version of almost every MacRumors comments thread ever... it's like an Apple Rorschach test! What do you see in this image? Cool graphics? High prices? Disappointment?

I like this graphic, wherever it's from. Reminds me of early-mid 2000s Apple, Aqua, OS X etc. Back when both the OS and hardware had a bit more personality, a bit more sheen and shine. So I see bubbles, and nostalgia.

Do you know of a corporation, company or small business that doesn’t want more money? For those who don’t care about revenue, there’s always the 501c3 tax exempt not for profit organization route.

Man, those profits sure look good. Stockholders must be really happy. The high-price, high-margin, high-cachet combo is hard to beat.

Sadly, while Apple IS innovating, they're just not doing so in the spaces that matter the most to me: Mac hardware and ALL software.

I really couldn't care less about iOS-based devices (due to iOS software), but that's where they're focused on and innovating at an accelerated space (on the hardware side).

Hopefully, they'll get this all out of the way so they can finally direct their attention to the glaring gaps in iOS usability and the unacceptably neglected state of the Mac (in my opinion, of course).

Not true. The idea is to hook up anywhere there is a terminal available with just a single cable, and you have a better-than-ipad desktop experience.

It's pretty convenient actually, and I've used it myself quite a bit. It'd be nice if Apple did something like this as well.

Here's the details, if you're actually interested:
