Man I have never seen such a whiny group of people. Apple Maps looks 10x better than Google Maps and is starting to navigate better yet you complain and complain and complain. Good grief.
Man I have never seen such a post where a person thinks the world revolves around them. Because Apple Maps looks 10X better and works better where you live, does not make it so every where else. It has been clearly explained by us whiney people that the areas we live in are lacking 10 year old features. How long should we have to wait before its not considered whiny? Good grief.

This is all nice and good, at the same time, Maps is usable in my town and even in a nearby city. Labels are incorrect, undated or simply missing. So you can't really find anything. In macOS 11.0 you could directly send feedback to Apple which Apple would ignore, in macOS 12 they have removed that feature completely, at least I can't find it. Apple should just use a pre-existing map instead of trying to make their own. It is becoming ridiculous.

Btw, while the nearby city of Hamburg has 3D sat images, the images are ancient. Viewing them is like looking through a time machine.

Don’t know about MacOS, but on the iPhone the report feature is still there and was recently (don’t know if it was iOS 15 or 15.1) changed a little.

Apple do use 3rd party map data, but I’m not sure if they are transitioning away and just use their own data. When launching Maps, they used (and still are) Tomtom data and screwed it up badly.

Very lovely! 3D Maps, it’s only getting better.
And the rest of the world will be done by ..... ?

In Japan, the landscape is changing rapidly. I drive to different prefecture, and next time (few months later), I go to the same place, I no longer have a visual reference to the place. Different buildings, different bypasses, ... .

I think each city and county, should monitor their area and provide (or sell) the, always up to date, maps, to Apple, Google, ....

This way, everything would be, always, accurate, and Apple could spent their time, by tarting it up they way, they want it.

Yes. my point is not about the "new 3D Map". My point is there are major cities that still don't have the "old limited 3d" that Forstall introduced 9 1/2 years ago. That just isn't acceptable. When Google introduces 3D over 10 years ago, they had the entire globe done in a couple of years and continued to update it regularly. Apple should be at the point where they are updating the globe on a yearly bases too but here we are without having inaugural features even implemented a decade later. But cool a few cities got some fancy new monuments while others still have roads going into lakes. Am I supposed to be impressed with this. I know its hard for some to understand this because they live in a region that has all the features and accuracy but for the rest of us, we are still waiting. Again, I stuck it out and forced myself to use Apple Maps while they catch up but the effort and priorities shown by Apple is telling me that was a mistake. This is not a priority for them in any way.
I don’t share your experience but am sorry you’re having it.

I can assure you:
1. this road does not go through the river....
2. I reported this over a month ago
3. this road is most probably used by the Romans when they came here (Galati, Romania)

A while ago there was a Google Street View car at the hotel I'm staying, even though this city is perfectly mapped in Google Maps.
Never seen an Apple Map Car.
But even then, they can just buy maps from TomTom and the like, and fix these silly things.

This is just an example, not a stand alone case.
I have filed corrections with Apple Maps at least a dozen times and every time they have responded within a week or so that my corrections were accepted and that the map was updated. So keep filing reports. It helps.

hm, that's very strange: I reported many times (as well) but never ever received any feed back, and never ever was it corrected.
I simply never give up, so no worries, I'll keep reporting for the better good of everyone

fully agree.

I've said it many times: it can't be because they are lacking funds.
It's pure disinterest.

There is an option you have to click where it gives you the option to get feedback. If you don’t click it you won’t get it.
