At this point, I would settle for a mini sized e/SE phone along with the upgrade cycles of them. I have never used the ultrawide lens anyway due to it lacking autofocusall those iPhone mini holdouts would’ve given apple more money than this air, if only they’d bring it back
The Pro’s are ugly AF. We need a phone that looks good to choose from.It was a nice try but they really need to just cut that line. Mini, plus, now this. All sales bombs? Just do regular and pro max. That’s all that is needed.
Hey buddy, why is it so hard for you people to understand. Important features? Ok, I don’t care for wide and 8x zoom. I wear Airpods 95% of time and when I don’t, one speaker is fine for a random video on Youtube. My battery last all day, same as my iPhone 16 pro. What else? mmWave? I dont even get it in ny city but i did get 1.1Gpbs down on 5G+ yesterday which was plenty. I used the lidaar sensor once 2 years ago. So not missing that. What else? The Air is stunning and the Pro is ugly AF. Easy to chose.Once someone puts a case on the Air, it is not so thin anymore. Sure it would still be thinner than any other iPhone with a case, but not thin enough to give up important features such as multiple cameras, stereo speakers and longer battery life. The trade-offs to not justify the design for a majority of iPhone buyers. It is a cool iPhone for sure, but it is another niche iPhone.

Price.I wonder what's turning people away, smaller battery or inferior camera
The iPhone Air is 100% not designed to be a sensible purchase. If you want to approach this year’s iPhone line from a financially mindset, you can only look at the base and Pro models. I think that’s what’s bugging a lot of people because they want to make sense of its existence.Price.
If it was cheaper than the 17, it would’ve done a lot better, but then it would’ve cannibalised 17 sales.
It comes across as ‘no man’s land’ product.
I think what’s bugging most people is that they like the design of the Air but because it’s priced almost the same as the Pro model and with less features, they gravitate towards the Pro model because they are chasing after the specs. They want both the design and the specs. Unfortunately, you can only pick one this time around. The iPhone Air is 100% not designed to be a sensible purchase. You just need to visit China it’s popular over in that country.
It's gone once the foldables are out.I don’t mind if they don’t update the Air every year but it would be hard to go back to carrying a brick by comparison.
Hope they keep the line and give it an update at least every 18-24 months.
Add one camera and figure out increasing the battery 20% and it’ll be perfect.
But in the mean time the battery life is good enough and I’m a pretty heavy user.
Can go all day from waking up to going to sleep without running out and without topping off. Gets down to 15% by then. But a bit more buffer would be nice.
It is interesting and disappointing that Apple failed to do their best work on Pro and Pro Max models. The Pro’s are ugly AF. We need a phone that looks good to choose from.
Respectfully - and I say this as a proud 12 mini owner - that's as likely as Apple developing another good mouse. They have moved on.Cool. Now, Apple, cancel this thing and give me the 17 mini. My 12 mini is in need of refreshment.
They know spending money on ads would be a waste. I haven’t seen any ads for the Air so I’m wondering if they already had a bad feeling about the Air before release. You would’ve expected some TV ads at least for the Air at release.Apple hasn't even promoted the Air. They've promoted the crap out of the Pro and Pro Max, though.
