I got an email from Apple yesterday saying I would get my iPhone 4 on the 23rd. My FedEx tracking says the expected delivery is the 24th. Both of my iPhones are a state away (Oakland, CA to Central Oregon) as of noon on the 22nd.

Any insite when I will get the iPhone?

On a side note my wife's iphone has been consistently 6 hours ahead of mine in tracking even though I ordered hers 20 minutes AFTER mine. Same model too.

Look at the email again, it specifically says:

"This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep."

If it still says the 24th after like 9AM tomorrow, then you may have to wait an extra day, but most likely it will change tomorrow when it goes out for delivery.

We'll know later today when the truck will (hopefully) be out for delivery. Right now, my package is at the sort facility in my city. FedEx tracking still says delivery by 4:30pm on the 24th. There is no reason why it can't be delivered today unless FedEx screws up.

Mine is coming up to Corvallis. It left Oakland at 12:30 pm June 22, still waiting for the checkin at the Corvallis airport station. Presumably this is by truck given the transit time and the fact that FedEx had no planes leaving within 2-3 hours of that time from Oakland.

I just called FedEx and, after waiting on hold for a while, the guy told me it left "Oklahoma, California" at "12:30 midnight" and it'll be delivered on June 24th by 4:30 pm. Obviously they aren't the brightest lightbulbs on the chain.

Hello from Portland. My wife's phone was ordered an hour before mine but it shipped the day before mine. I received two notices from Apple each saying the phone would be delivered on the 23rd, but they didn't call out the specific phone.

Here's where it gets wierd. My wife's phone that shipped first and scheduled for delivery the 23rd (today) has not departed Oakland. My phone that is scheduled for delivery on the 24th has already left Oakland.

I think the other poster's advice of "wait and see" is also my best course. I don't know what to expect.

Im in a similar boat fellow Oregonians..
My 32gig left Oakland at 12:30pm on the 22nd according to Fedex. I'm very hopeful our phones will have no problem making it to the Portland/Tualatin depots for delivery Today!!! All I know is my Pre sign is on the front door already, even though I'll be at home all day waiting for it! Fingers crossed for the newest :apple:offering a day before most in the world!!

OMG!!! read the email, jeez

OMG!!!!1 WE'RE TRYING TO MAKE SURE FEDEX DOESN'T **** THIS UP!!!2 OBVIOUSLY THEY AREN'T TOO SWIFT!!!726

You see, some of us actually do **** other than sit around waiting for phones to arrive, so we have to know how to plan our days, etc., and that requires knowing when the device will show up. If you're sitting on your duff all day every day waiting for the FedEx man, props to you. I know the job market is tough.

it will be updated tomorrow morning

Called fedex to put a hold on my package and, before I even said anything, I was told it delivers on the 24th. Guy could be wrong though.

Slow down killer. I have a phone in Oakland that's 10.75 hours away by car and it is scheduled for delivery by 9.5 hours. There's a flight at 4:05 AM so it can make it by air.

I also have a phone that departed Oakland at noon yesterday that hasn't arrived in Portland but there should be an update by morning.

So... There's a couple of us Oregon folks having a discussion and doing a little late night speculation. You're welcome to join us but if you read our posts we do mention that we read the e-mails. I don't care if they arrive today or tomorrow.

lol wat?! fedex failz at everything so who knows..

My FedEx says the 24th but I got the 23rd email.

Right now my iPhone is in Greensboro, NC about 1 hour away so I really hope it comes today but idk.

mine is in Los Angeles and I live about 20-30 minutes away. The delivery date still shows 6-24-10. Hopefully it comes tomorrow since it's so close by.

Wednesday would be awesome! I took off cause I don't want it sitting outside. I'll be kinda frustrated if it doesn't come wednesday like them email stated and I need to take thursday off too.

If my iPhone current says 'At dest sort facility' and it got there at like 3:58am and this location is only an hour away are there good chances I'll get mine today?

It says delivery on the 24 but it could easily get here today.

"At destination sort facility" is basically code for "we're going to stop moving this **** by plane/semi-truck and start putting it on actual delivery vehicles". Essentially all packages going to a destination are put into large containers. At the "destination sort facility" these packages are removed from the containers and moved individually to wherever they need to go. It doesn't necessarily mean you will get it delivered from this facility; it may go to a secondary facility then to a delivery truck. Most destination sort facilities are in high population density areas so if you're in this area, it'll go straight from there, otherwise you're in the two-step process.
