I’d be very cautious about downloading iOS15 today when it releases unless its a different build than the RC. The RC is riddled with bugs that are not worth upgrading for.
Can you give us some examples of these bugs and on what device you're running?
I installed the RC on release day and except from WhatsApp crushing on me a couple of times I had no issues on my 11 Pro MAX.

Apple music is a cluster. I can’t add songs to playlists. When I add them to my library I get the song with no album art, just a black square.

Going into music in the settings app freezes settings and there is no way to get into the specific music settings.

Messages will freeze up where I have to quit it and then relaunch it.

I woke up with no volume on the phone today and had to reboot it to get it working again.

This is a 12 Pro Max that I went from 14.8 directly to the release candidate.

These might be just specific to my device (I don’t know why they would be) but I know there are many others in the beta thread that have had these same issues and more.

OMG, another capability that Apple fails to complete before release.

I miss the old days were new capabilities were mostly not talked about until the release keynote. Yeah, there were a few mistakes. But, it seems that these days every keynote has undelivered capabilities.

Kinda what is expected when no one in Apple management seems to care about quality and on-time delivery.

I guess Apple thinks that users will just buy whatever. That will only last so long.

On this, I agree completely. Its just that I think they should have announce these features close to the actual release.

As it is, it makes their software development strategy look sloppy, IMHO.
Their software development execution is sloppy. I'm sure the strategy is ok, they just no longer execute well.

Why? Because the kinder, gentler, Cook does not seem to care. He's got his millions, the masses buy whatever without complaining, software engineers are safe whether they excel or fail, and the few complainers that do exists get shot down by the fanboys. The irrational love fest is on.

Remember the Jobs' hateful stare? Remember Jobs' rants? Remember Jobs' mean attitudes when he was let down? Guess they had some value after all.

I agree with what you are saying outside of the “kinder, gentler Cook.” If you’ve read anything about him he’s just as big of a tyrant as Jobs was. He has low patience and while he gives off that persona of being a super nice guy, that’s not who he is. He can’t be in the role that he has.

For the first year of me using iOS device, I’m not sure whether I trade a buggy software for my ability to service my device when needed, or use beta software that is ironically going to be more stable than RC release? As much as I want to praise apple, there’s nothing to praise for.

The question is: when the tipping point and the punishing moment will come. Not just a couple thousand customers leaving. It must be in the scale of billions for apple to truly wake up.

I’m interested in ambient noise reduction and conversation boost, any idea when that will be coming?View attachment 1837076
Conversation Boost is the item I’m most interested in and it’s AWOL in the release candidate and now (bad omen) gone missing from the iOS 15 new features page.

Aside from that, the public betas were running great on my iPhone 6s and iPad Air 2.

So.

People complain when software is buggy and declining software quality.

People complain when software features are delayed.

🤷‍♂️

Maybe a company apples size can have things launch on time that aren’t buggy? The 2 aren’t mutually exclusive.

Still looking forward to being able to use "precise location" to locate an AirTag using the U1 chip in an Apple Watch.

It will be nice to actually be able to locate missing AirPod Pros when they're in their case, as they normally would be.

I could reproduce the two bugs related to Apple Music, but not the others.

Now after upgrading from RC to final version both Apple Music bugs are fixed, so we should be fine.

Yeah I stand corrected. The final build is solid and all of my bugs have been corrected. Nice job Apple.

Did not know that. Guess he uses his tyrant ego for something other than improving the product.

Ahhh, how dumb of me, he does not get tech the way Jobs did, so of course his tyrant ego is misplaced.

Cant wait for this!!!! The FindMy for AirPods is TRASH. If I lose them around my house, it does nothing until I find them myself. Today I couldnt find them in another room and I finally found them and opened the case and my iPhone said "Oh....yeah your AirPods Pro have been found....youre welcome babe."
I have never understood the point of the play sound feature for Airpods- let's be honest, if you are looking for them, they're most likely in their case and if being in the case means they cant play sound, then wtf was the point?
