Wow. Almost as if this phone is not for you. Never mind there's another 3 new phones to choose from, I'm sure one will be the Goldilocks phone for you.
Wow. Almost as if you didn't need to comment. Why would I comment about another of the 3 phones if the article is about the Air? Aren't we allowed to just stay on topic?

20th model should be gorgeous whichever way they do it. iPhone X was their best design to date. Big shoes to fill.

I have always wanted the tech they have on the Expanse tv show. View attachment 2546662
Such a fun concept.

For something like that to be possible, we’d have to pivot away from the current “one tool to rule them all, everything you need in your pocket” approach and really narrow focus on the purpose of a handheld.

iPhones Air is a bit of a pivot. Its footprint is only possible because of some of the concessions made. It feels like Apple’s toe-dip into a more focused approach. They’ll see how the market reacts and either continue pulling that string or bail. Innovation, for better or worse, is somewhat limited to what the market will bear - not what’s possible.

The first gen MacBook Air felt like a step backwards back in 2008. But it leaped forward quickly. I see the same for the iPhone Air.

Also, it’s not for everybody. If it had ProRAW, I’d consider it.
You said it, I recall the port hatch and wondering how long that would be 'acceptable'. Overall a great first step.

I've been a Pro user for years, mostly because of the better screen and camera flexibility, but increasingly I'm finding myself taking photos that aren't as demanding, and prioritizing weight and size. I went with the Pro last year because the Pro Max in a case with a magnetic wallet attached to it is a 2lb brick that simply destroys my pockets.

It may be a mistake but I am going to try the Air this year. Bigger screen than the Pro I have, but also 2 oz less weight would be welcome. My wife has the better camera now, so the compromises may be ok, assuming battery life is indeed equal to that of the 16 Pro (27h).
