Yes your mini does, Apple said they all do. Post a video taken in at least 60fps pleaseEven more outraged at my optometrist ! Seriously though, I see the behavior in the videos fine. My mini doesn't do that.

Hypernormalization. It’s almost everywhere in civilizations where the people literally have no remedy for the perpetual abuse by leadership (or corporations). We got to the point where Apple being in blatant denial is also normal behavior.
…and you late to the party.

No. It's a problem. But it's a problem that people have dealt with for over half a century. Old B&W televisions and CRT monitors had it for decades. Same with most LCD TVs and monitors (except the high refresh rate ones). (24 FPS projected theatrical film doesn't, but has flicker strobing and/or motion blur in exchange.)Wrong choice of words. Should say the Feature is Normal and not the Problem is Normal.
The issue is that it’s obvious on the mini 6 when compared to mini 5. No one is saying it’s not normal it’s why is it so apparent and how did the decision to relocate the component even make it into a shipping product.Yeah, it does suck that it refreshes that way. I'll be interested to see if they change panel/refresh orientation during the next generation to make it less noticeable.
Ultimately I understand why customers are un-happy and why Apple says it's not an issue. It technically isn't, despite it being annoying. Hopefully those with use-cases where it's annoying can return and get a different device that works better for them.
I have a Mini 4, I never noticed anything like it and I yesterday looked at it carefully again both in landscape and portrait and nothing!.I have a Mini 4 and you can see it in landscape to some extent.
Which proves that most people get so used to this artifact, which appears in some direction or another on all 60 Hz LCD devices, that they never see it anymore or stop noticing it.I have a Mini 4, I never noticed anything like it and I yesterday looked at it carefully again both in landscape and portrait and nothing!.

They probably thought we wouldn’t care enough. It’s a good thing forums like this exist. im sure some apple employees read this stuff.Apple’s statement is misleading.
Why didn't they notice the fault before shipping?

Paying a premium price should get you a premium device.
Don't buy it, if you did. Return it. Simple.
I’ve had a mini 4 since launch and I’ve only just noticed this in landscape, having used the device for years in landscape..I have a Mini 4, I never noticed anything like it and I yesterday looked at it carefully again both in landscape and portrait and nothing!.
Yes, it does, clearly you don’t realise that everybody’s visual part of their brain process things differently, some can’t tell the difference between 1080 and 2160 resolutions regardless of eyesight, some can’t see the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS or 120FPS, and some can do these things with varying amounts of perception and this jelly scrolling is very likely going to be another issue that some will see, and some will not.No, no it doesn't.
I am returning it.Don't buy it, if you did. Return it. Simple.
I’ve never seen anything like what my iPad Mini display was doing PERIOD. So I’m obv not use to seeing and have gotten use to it or desensitized in anyway. Maybe a little bit would have been ok but it was nothing I was ever going to be acclimated to PERIOD. Ok sorry for shoutin!!!I am returning it.
If you're willing to wait 3 years for the next new one...bet the next mini won't have this "feature"
I was about to type the same thing, good thing I checked!…and you late to the party.

I still can't see anything. If it really exists it can't be significant enough to bother with. I also use my mini almost all the time in landscape.I’ve had a mini 4 since launch and I’ve only just noticed this in landscape, having used the device for years in landscape..
I use my iPad Air 4 in landscape if I can, and it does exhibit the ‘jelly’ effect, but I have to really look for it to really notice it. Before this news broke, I don’t even notice it. I really don’t see what’s the whole commotion about. Besides, it’s not like I can read anything properly when the contents are moving fast.I still can't see anything.
