I wish to remark that I’m not really impressed with the idea of a (formerly) beautiful square being converted into a sunk-in Apple Store.
I didn't find it beautiful at all. We are in Italy, we have thousands of square you can really call beautiful and unfortunately Milan has only a few of them.
That square was nothing more than a car parking lot until a few years ago. Then they removed the cars, but the square was clearly missing something. I'm not saying it was missing an Apple store, but at least some trees, a sculpture, some more benches...

And that's from the 70's, such an ugly place

Then they decided to remove the car and that's how it looked before they began working to the AS

Improved of course, but nothing special.
I wish Apple had decided to open the store some years ago, it would have overhauled the square before the town hall did and we'd save money.
