Did anyone else get this? I went to the Apple store app, where everything was saved and ready to go - iphone configurations, card details, address details, the lot. But when I went to check out, I was taken to a screen where I was asked to put in card information again. I did so, and pressed save, but it didn't save. There was a feedback loop that took me back to the same page.

I ended up having to wait for the website, by which time shipping times had slipped to 2-3 weeks.

A total screw up by Apple. Very frustrating indeed.

I know Apple disabled favorites. All my other info was still saved... I have purchased from the Apple store many times... I did have a problem with Apple Pay the first time but got me the second time... still nov 3

I have not heard or experienced this before. And I didn't see anybody else mention this either.

I made my purchase from my favorites as well using the process just as described in the Macrumors article.

No, they didn't. Mine was still there.

If you went thru Apples pre-approval process prior to today, or yesterday it was a three tap process and back to bed. Easiest and fastest preorder ever. Well done Apple!

All they asked me to do was scan my finger then my order was completed

1+ for favorites working for me too.

The process was super smooth for me, even though the app took a bit long to load, even after it loaded for somebody else that was next to me.

Still Nov 3rd, im happy

I was dreading the day you'd respond to me. I always have to read an extra sentence with your posts -_-

That being said, you have a 3.Nov Delivery?

No. Nov 17-24.

And...ta-da...

You have to remember millions of orders are coming through at the same time. Errors will happen. My favorites were there in the app and Apple Pay went though perfect. I must of been lucky..

Favs worked but didn't appear at first glance on the Account page for me, had to tap "Favorites" then my saved configuration.

LMAO I didn't see it at first glance so I manually entered it again. Was too shocked to even notice the "my favorites" bar thankfully still got Nov 3rd delivery

I got screwed, but not in the same way. Selected the phone fine, but on both the iOS app, and the Apple website, it could not connect to Verizon to verify my carrier info. I tried about 20 times before giving up and ordering through the Verizon site and I got a delivery date 12 days later than I would have if Apple had worked in the first place.

My address was wrong, I updated it a couple of weeks ago because I knew it could delay me. I checked recency and it was all sorted. However on check out it was back to my old address and I had to type it all in again.

Well, while not the best, better than the late Dec. I see people posting now

Late dec, dang. That’s what you get for over sleeping. Lol. I have got one every launchday every year except the 6plus. That came 2 weeks late. My only one late..

Same here. The favourites thing didn't work and at checkout I had to re-enter my address and email which was strange as it was working yesterday.

This is what i was dealing with. The order progressed fine on Apple's site but every time it tired to verify my PIN with Verizon it would time out. It wanted me to do that place holder thing. I just kept retrying and i got a NOV 17th ship date.

What internet do you guys have? I have comcast and it was speedy! I have heard problems with local companies and even ATT.
