The battery life throughout for me has alternated between decent and not very good for my 6S+ and 12.9 - here's hoping for an improvement going forward...

Battery schmattery. I want to know if anyone that owns a plus model phone has found that the keyboard doesn’t stretch across the bottom of the screen in landscape mode since 11 was released from the government facilit.... Woops! Wrong thought train. ALL ABOARD!

Ever since iOS 11 was released, the landscape keyboard dosn’t take up the full real estate it used to on plus model phones. I wondered this morning, despite having sent in bug reports, whether this is intentional for the 8/Pro/Edition/X/Jobs phone BUT they had it differentiate between each phone in previous versions...

Anyone with a Dexcom CGM know if this one fixes the unreliable Bluetooth issue? Just for reference, I was on Beta 2-4, and the CGM program would complain that it lost Bluetooth, and I'd have to enable/disable Bluetooth in Settings to get it to read again. It happened every 2-3 hours, and I reverted back to 10.3.3, and the issue went away.

Now, I know that this could be Dexcom's fault, but it stopped/started with the iOS up/downgrade.

Battery is horrendous on 11 betas. I’m beginning DB8 battery test this morning to see if any improvement has been made. It’s been unbearable throughout 7 betas, so I’m not holding my breath.

If you’re depending on your phone as an accessory to a medical device you should definitely not be running beta software on it!!!!

App search is still busted. Try searching for most apps and they don’t show until completely entered. So “You” does not return YouTube app, but it shows once you type “YouTube”. Annoying since I have so many apps and folders.

I have the iPhone 6 and when I was watching YouTube in landscape mode I wanted to post the video on Facebook...the keyboard didn't rotate and I could only see half of it...

Beta 7 was absolute garbage in regards to battery.

Well, your experience seems to be totally different from mine. Have you checked what apps are chewing power - is it a case that something is badly engineered and chewing down the battery? Is the battery still in good health, you can use various free apps to check it? Do you leave your wifi and bluetooth on, etc.? Have you tried rolling back and reinstalling?

I reported this a few days ago (under the PB7).

Not happy with removed forced touch from the iPad.

Errr, what?

I don't often use the search, but just did now as a test.

I typed "you" and it found three apps, the first one being Youtube. Maybe you tried as soon as the beta was installed and before any indexing took place?

And just as a random comment, my battery life is pretty much the same through these betas as it was on 10.3

Got it... I wrote my Master's Thesis on Beta testing software.

(by the way, I also have one of these black things in the lower left (item #3) - No iPhone needed):

I don’t have that issue either.

Lol at the people who think the GM will magically fix all these different issues. 3D Touch lag on the home screen is borderline embarrassing. I really hope there not wrapping these betas up and heading toward a GM, but these small updates lead to believe that's what they're doing. I guess they'll rely on ProMotion and shiny new hardware too distract from terrible performance. Here's to getting great performance by 11.3 in April 2018!
Yes. I've been chuckling at the "it's a beta" comments this week, with the GM right around the corner.

It's as if people think that the removal of the beta monicker magically whisks away all remaining bugs like the parting of the Red Sea.

What are the main changes with this update?

Will iOS 11 allow you to create your own file structure on the iDevice or must it be only in iCloud Drive?

I notice there is a "On My Phone" (I think its that) option of saving files but I haven't seemed to be able to save documents in that section.

Same exact apps that were there with 10.3 and no issues. It’s debugging and analytics from Apple. It’s horrendous in this version. Nothing has changed with anything except the beta. It’s the beta doing it and nothing else. Countless people have reported this. My wife has he issue and I have it on two phones.

I’m not seeing this update as being available. I’m on the older beta. Has it been pulled for 5s?

No, it doesn't stretch full-width on my 6+. I honestly this is by design though as it would stretch things a lot and make typing feel 'different' (by that, I mean the locations will change a fair amount).

Another related thing - in Messages, when composing a new text, it doesn't rotate when in the 'To' field (iOS may have always behaved this way for all I know).

Not sure what to say in that case... A roll back and reinstall might be the way to go? See if that makes any difference. I can't highlight enough the need to report bugs and keep reporting them in the processing betas, as that's what they're are all about.

My 7 and iPad Pro are both working really well. The latter's battery life is unbelievably good for word processing, browsing and playing various games. The iPhone lasts a full day with heavier use but I don't tend to use Wifi or Bluetooth which seems to drain my o/h's 6s like a vampire.

I had this issue too. I can't remember the site or I'd give attribution, but basically iOS 11 works the opposite as 1-10 in terms of Siri searching when it comes to app names. I painstakingly turned off in iOS 10 Settings --> Siri & Search --> [most apps]. I didn't want data within the app to be searchable, but it still found the app. In iOS 11 (not a bug but I think the intended functionality), it retains that setting but makes the app not searchable. You have to turn on "Search & Siri Suggestions" for each app you want to be able to find with a few keystrokes. It'll also make the Siri App Suggestions widget work again too. Try it for an app like Health. Turn it on, go to search and type H,E and you'll see it come right up.

So I had to turn it back on for all my apps.

That is odd that it no longer elongates. I recall there being more buttons to press such as the font type and others in iOS 10. I hope it comes back as I enjoy typing in landscape over portrait (yes, I am portraitist) but will love if no. As for the lack of rotation when the cursor is in the To field, I tested it and was rotated to the handwriting box. BIZARRO WORLD!

Due to battery life issues on the last 2 betas - I rolled back to iOS 10. (battery drops almost 50% withing 6-7 hours and I barely used the phone)

iOS 10 is indeed faster in terms of interface, animations, but I will be looking forward to iOS 11. I hope the GM/.0 release has good battery life.

I already miss the Control Centre - It grew on me, I really found it very useful and practical.

I know we are getting close, and probably the polished version will be nice, but having beta OS eventually has a high chance of shortening your battery life.
Discharging faster - you need to charge more often - more battery cycles. It's not worth it.
I had the betas for like 2 weeks but I am getting tired of the Beta train.

It’s the beta.
[doublepost=1504033952][/doublepost]7 hours and 37 minutes and I sit at 15%. Battery. Is. Still. Utter. Garbage.
