Has anyone else encountered issues with this new beta bricking their device? My 13 Pro was working fine after the update yesterday and them this morning it would not turn on or respond to any type of intervention. I suspect it is unrelated to the beta but thought I would ask. The phone is not old and did not suffer any damage or do anything unusual before this. Applecare to the rescue (hopefully)
Not me
I'm on the latest public beta

Let’s talk about “focus mode”. Why not just a simple “do not disturb button”?. Why make a simple thing complex then “easier” after some 2 years?.
Only hardcore users use it. Why the non -user friendly name?. My parents in law and my wife never know that “focus” is a “kind of semi Customizable do not disturb, with a name that does not make easy sense”. Really. Just name it after the intended function!!!: “do not disturb”!!!. Is it so hard?. Why put a “deep” name to a simple thing?.
This is not progress!.
So many clicks to customize a focus mode?, and even then, not really customizable. Not more ways to customize in ios16 than in 15.
And the dial pad still CAN’T edit a mistyped number???!!!
Is this a smart rock or what?. Nobody important uses iPhone as the common people.
Why make it ilegal to have the super nice features available by the “non official channels”???

There is a simple “DO NOT DISTURB” mode. There has been for a while.

The new FOCUS modes gives more utility to power users. I have one for fitness (swaps my Home Screen for a page of my fitness-related apps) and work (swaps my Home Screen for all my work apps). I find that they work well and provide depth to the existing DND modes. It is progress.

No one is forcing your in-laws or wife to use these features. The regular DND works fine for 95% of iPhone users.

Is the Public Beta usable for a primary phone? Final build should be released in 2 weeks since the fall event is next week.
You'll know when it's ready for your primary phone, because the final will have been released a few days previous and other people will have upgraded safely.

anyone else having some trouble with haptics? Even with the ringer on silent, long pressing on app icons and notifications still makes the "pop" sound. I have "play haptics in silent mode" turned off, but it still does it. Hopefully just a bug that'll get fixed, or there's some setting I'm missing, or this will get very annoying very quickly
