I'm feeling good they'll release macOS and iOS simultaneously. I mean, weirder things have happened.
EDIT: I mean, there are plenty of things that only work between the latest OSs. I think it makes sense they come out at the same time.
Be careful what you wish for. I have not installed this latest version, but unless they made significant progress since the last one, it is still not ready for prime time. Definitely feels like beta software still.
It depends on the device. Ever since beta 5 of the public betas, macOS has been extremely smooth for me, and I use it on my main rMBP.
Working fine for me too, just the usual Mac Mail, Calendar, Contacts and iMessage issues but that's likely because of my user profile.

Interesting... I don't remember having to run a Virtual Machine on Parallels when I do split view.Does Sierra let us use split view without creating a new virtual desktop or do we have to wait for 10.18 Mount Trump?
Assuming you're being sarcastic, it was my understanding that unique Spaces had always been referred to as virtual desktops.Interesting... I don't remember having to run a Virtual Machine on Parallels when I do split view.
This random release schedule makes me wonder if the development teams are more open to breaking the mould this year.
In previous years it felt like software problems often weren't fixed purely because they HAD to release updates all at the same time and on a particular schedule, whereas now it's like they're releasing them whenever they're ready to be released.
this Mac OS release is going to be rocky. urgent "dot releases" will be incoming fairly quickly from apple
I've been using both betas for months, I haven't run into any problems for weeks. Other than some minor rough edges on Sierra, it doesn't feel like it's too far from release.Be careful what you wish for. I believe there will be new Macs next week, I choose to believe
Mission control finally lets you use only gestures to switch between apps, although they've changed the way it has worked since, forever. Used to be that you could do the gesture (for me it's four fingers up), hover the mouse over the app to switch to, and do four fingers up again.
Now I have to do four fingers up, hover the mouse over the app, and do four fingers down. This is totally backwards because 3 or 4 fingers down was always and still is App Expose, for when you only want to show the open windows for a single program.
I do hope they fix this for the GM but I'm not holding my breath.
Most important, what are the new wallpapers like?
I believe this is better for all of us than following a fixed timetable. This random release schedule makes me wonder if the development teams are more open to breaking the mould this year.

At one time Safari did get far faster with each release. Eventually "snappier" became a joke. Given that though Safari is improved yet again. When were safari jokes ever funny..
