So I don't know if this is a macOS thing or an iOS thing, or if it's a feature or a bug--but are phones going to stop syncing to ask for passcodes every time we hardwire sync to our Macs now and forever?

Me no like. Or should I like it, for some security reason I'm not thinking of?

I’m not sure what you mean by this.
Yes, if you connect your phone to a computer, you have to put in your password before it will start syncing.
This is normal.

This is normal.
I’ve been syncing via cable every day for decades, through multiple MacBooks and multiple phones. Never had it pause for passcode every time until now.
