Will they ever fix the audio crackling sound? It's tragicomic we have machines from 2016 with it and these M1 are still carrying it.
I have no audio cracking issues, and it's tragicomic you don't provide much information. Audio cracking can be from source material, it can be RF interference for wireless speakers or headphones. Both the bluetooth bands and Wireless bands are subject to a lot of RF issues. My HomePods get buzzy when someone uses a CB radio nearby (and the Samsung oven and microwave totally blitz out).

But Apple Music to AirPods Pro, to internal speakers, to airplay speakers - no issues at all when there is no interference

Sure, great for you. I don't provide much information? I must be making it up never mind.

Is it unusual for a minor-numbered release to get that many betas?

Feels like the wait for Universal Control is stretching forever...

My Intel apps cant even start up after installing 12.3 Beta 5. Lastpass, Discord (Discord Canary works), Logi Options. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I've tried multiple restarts and running softwareupdate --install-rosetta in Terminal

Here's one of the Terminal error log outputs: rosetta error: attachment of code signature supplement failed: 1

For me, the new Beta finally fixed the discharging bug of the iPad-Pro if it is connected via USB-C using Sidecar. - At this point in time, it finally charges correctly if sidecar is enabled. Even after multiple shutdowns and restarts (both machines - MacbookPro14 & iPad Pro 2ndGen) and different cables used, this behavior is consistent. #innovation - But man is it useful if you don't have to switch every hour between Wifi-/ and USB-C Sidecar, to fill the battery again and again... noice

Did this beta fix the external keyboard "Fn" key functionality?

When using external keyboards in clamshell mode, you literally have to press the Fn key like 30 times to get the menu to open (I use it for symbol/emoji menu). Currently experiencing it on macOS 12.2.1.

tap to click works great on my M1 MBP. The very first beta release that I had had laggy trackpad issues, that was fixed within a week with a new release, has been operating great since then. Have you gone to settings trackpad and settings/accessibility/pointer control and adjusted settings to your liking? I find that I have to adjust these to my preferences. Double click speed to one tick from slow, scrolling with inertia, three finger drag, medium click speed, force click off. This are preferences, but they work for me
Yep, but still is the issue

I have my Desktop Background set to change at random from a folder of pictures in the Photos App. This morning I noticed that the background wasn't changing so I checked System Preferences / Desktop & Screen Saver, and that entire preferences pane was just blank & not loading at all. After restarting, I then only had the default macOS wallpaper, and the Desktop & Screen Saver System Preferences pane wasn't loading at all. Then I get a crash report for the System Preferences app crashing ? Another reboot and now that all seems sorted...

I'm also finding more 'clamshell mode' issues, like if I'm docked and reboot, sometimes (most times?) my Bluetooth Apple Keyboard & Magic Trackpad aren't recognized, and then it seems like my MBP just wants to stay off or in Standby, due to the lid being closed, even though I'm docked & connected to a monitor. FWIW, I rarely had these issues on Big Sur with this same M1 MBP, but overall macOS 12.3 has been much better to me than any of the other Monterey releases.
