appears to focus on bug fixes and under-the-hood performance improvements

Use of this phrase in most every beta-related article makes me feel like a faulty Samsung Galaxy Note7.

Could you maybe change the wording up a bit, please? (When did phones ever have a hood, anyway?)

Just let me know when macOS Sierra gets to 10.12.6, and then I'll download it.;)

I agree, plus what is under the hood is an engine. I think many would agree, that an engine to a car is what a soc to a smartphone. (flashback to studying for the SAT exam). How would a beta software improve the soc?

how can new macbook pros be released next week when this is still in beta this late in the game?!

does anyone know if Apple has plans to sync the people tags in photos across devices? This to is a bug, because right now you have to tag people on each device which is a royal pain.

It's the fifth public beta already, coming after weeks of internal alpha testing. Seems like right on track for release next week, in line with typical release schedules.

Apple has publicly stated that they plan to enable this at some point in the future, and each release so far has explicitly stated this shortcoming in the release notes as being something that's work in progress. I'm personally hoping for this one to be in the 10.2 beta, which could be coming in a few weeks if 10.1 is indeed released next wednesday. If I remember well, last year they released 9.2 beta on the same day as 9.1 public release.

I hope they have fixed the Photo APP, on my 12" MB photos still flicker every time i flick to view the next photo, they don't seem to be loading quick enough.

Also in iTunes, shuffle still works randomly.

Wish i had stuck with El Capitan now, my own stupid fault for down loading Sierra to soon, should have waited 3 months.

Any idea if this update fixes the issue that mDNSresponder keeps waking up (dark wake) the iMac for maintenance?

Power nap has been disabled also network access wake up

Thanks. I hope you are right.
